AYODHYA: A magnificent Martyr Memorial Pillar has been installed in the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir complex in Ayodhya to commemorate the generations of Ram devotees who sacrificed their lives during the centuries-long struggle for Shri Ram Janmabhoomi.

The memorial pillar, dedicated to the martyrs of the five-century-long struggle, has been crafted from high-quality red granite. The structure has been designed as a lasting tribute to the devotees of Bhagwan Ram whose sacrifices are remembered as an important part of the history associated with the Ram Janmabhoomi movement.

Red granite pillar carries the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra logo

One of the prominent features of the memorial is the official logo of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, which has been incorporated into the pillar using bronze metal. The combination of the red granite and detailed craftsmanship gives the memorial a distinctive appearance within the Mandir complex.

The pillar seeks to preserve the memory of those who devoted their lives to the cause of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi across generations.

Memorial to remind future generations of sacrifices

The construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya followed a long period of struggle and mobilisation spanning several generations. The Martyr Memorial Pillar has now been installed within the Mandir complex as a permanent reminder of the sacrifices associated with this history.

The memorial is dedicated to the Ram devotees who lost their lives during the five-century-long struggle for Shri Ram Janmabhoomi. It is intended to remind devotees visiting the Mandir from across Bharat and abroad of the sacrifices made by earlier generations.

Devotees visiting the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir will now have an opportunity to pay their respects at the memorial. The red granite structure, along with its detailed carvings and bronze emblem, adds another commemorative feature to the Mandir complex.

The Martyr Memorial Pillar thus stands as a symbol of remembrance, commemorating the generations of Ram devotees whose struggle and sacrifice form part of the history of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi.
