Bhagat Singh is remembered not only for his role in India’s freedom struggle but also for the ideas he expressed through his writings. His thoughts touched on freedom, equality, social justice and the responsibilities of citizens. For participants, the “One Quote, One Commitment” theme offers a chance to look at these ideas in a more personal way. A quote may have a different meaning for different people, and the essay gives them space to explain that connection in their own words.

For instance, participants can reflect on how a particular idea relates to issues they see around them or how it encourages them to become more responsible members of society.
