Greater Noida: Gautam Buddha University’s (GBU) stall has emerged as a major attraction at the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) 2026, held at the India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida. Located in Hall No. 8, the GBU stall is showcasing the university’s achievements and initiatives in the areas of education, research, innovation, technology, startups and entrepreneurship.
A major highlight of the university’s stall is the display of drone technology, particularly a prototype of an agricultural drone being developed for applications in the agricultural sector. The agricultural drone demonstrates the potential use of modern technology for crop monitoring and other agricultural activities. Visitors are showing considerable interest in the prototype and are interacting with the university team to understand its functioning, applications and potential benefits for the agricultural sector.
The stall is also showcasing the activities and achievements of the Atal Incubation Centre–Gautam Buddha University (AIC-GBU). The centre’s initiatives in promoting startups, innovation and entrepreneurship are being presented to visitors. Through its incubation and innovation ecosystem, AIC-GBU is providing opportunities to young innovators and entrepreneurs to develop their ideas, transform them into viable ventures and explore new possibilities in the business and technology sectors.
The Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show 2026 is being organised from September 25 to 29, 2026, at the India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida. The trade show was inaugurated by Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath. Several Union and State Ministers, senior government officials, industry representatives, entrepreneurs and delegates from India and abroad were present on the occasion.
Speaking about the university’s participation, GBU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Rana Pratap Singh said, “Gautam Buddha University is continuously working to promote innovation, technological development and entrepreneurship along with education and research. The opportunity to showcase our drones, agricultural drone prototype and the activities of the Atal Incubation Centre at an international platform like the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show provides a wider platform to the innovative capabilities of our students and researchers. Our endeavour is to connect research and technology with the real-world needs of society and industry and to provide young people with opportunities to move forward in entrepreneurship with new ideas.”
For the university’s participation in the trade show, Prof. S. Dhanalakshmi has been designated as the Chairperson, while Dr. MA Ansari has been assigned the responsibility of Nodal Officer. Under their supervision, various technological, academic, research and entrepreneurship-related achievements of the university are being displayed at the stall.
The university team at the stall includes Dr. Vineet Kumar, Dr. Renu Yadav, Dr. Bipasha Som, Dr. Gaurav, Dr. Vinay Latoria and Dr. Atul Garg, along with several student volunteers. The team is interacting with visitors, explaining the technologies and initiatives being showcased, and providing information about the university’s academic, research, innovation and entrepreneurship activities.
The GBU stall is providing visitors with an opportunity to learn about the university’s efforts to connect research and innovation with industry and societal needs.
