Writing a letter to the Prime Minister demanding talks with Pakistan is an old toolkit of these so called intellectuals to get international fame, awards, money or visits and getting media attention. In this letter, they are spitting many absurdities while demanding to talk with the rouge state of Pakistan – an international Islamist terrorist manufacturing country. Realities and past historical dialogues along with their outcomes mean nothing to these signatories and that is why I call them “pseudo intellectuals”.
Among them are dynastic politicians, some ex-bureaucrats known for dynastic slavery, Pakistani megaphones in India and so called human right activists etc. In fact, these signatories are aghast today at the military, economic and cultural strength of India which is developing fast in all areas. So find means to defame India and carry on their own shops dancing to the tunes of foreign powers.
I raise a very serious question that how come these 117 signatures, 61 from India and 56 from Pakistan got signed on a letter? Who went around taking these signatures in Pakistan and India or were they generated on online? This itself exposes the Pakistani connection and no doubt some other deep state influences in making such a move at a crucial time. Consider the timing of this letter today as the Pakistani beggars have brought Pakistan on the verge of bifurcation, economic doom, international disrepute and militarily helplessness.
A country which has a reputation of a terrorist state, military ruled state, beggar’s state, violator of human rights, press censorship, ISI domination, torture of politicians and minorities with being a puppet of America. Yet, the Field Marshal, his cronies and the puppet government issues the most wildest nuclear threats even from the foreign soils like America but at the same time they keep begging India to restore the Indus Water Treaty.
Hence, they use another tool by herding this flock of pseudo intellectuals to voice on their behalf because India made it clear that terrorism and water cannot flow together. Interestingly, the signatories are addressing the wrong person in Pakistan – Sehbaaz Sharif, not his controller Asim Munir. One can understand the Pakistani signatories but here in India too they have readymade Pakistan supporters in disguise of politicians and peace makers.
An important aspect to be noted here is that these signatories ignore all the history of talks since 1947, their outcomes and demand to sit and talk again. Well, Pakistan too was a result of the tripartite talks on the tables between Muslim League, Congress and the British and since then these talks have been ongoing in one form or the other till very recently when India took the stand that until terrorism stopped no talks are to be held. I would also ask a question to these so called “media dignitaries” what has India gained out of the talks or agreements done with Pakistan since 1947?
The outcome after Tashkant and Shimla agreements testify to the breach of settlements, every time by Pakistan. The bus journey to Lahore taken by the Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihar Vajpayee brought Kargil and Parliamentary attacks. An Indian delegation of Secretaries was leisurely spending time in Pakistan after talks when the Mumbai terror attack was made. To improve the relations Prime Minister Modi even appealed that let both the countries instead of fighting a military war fight jointly against poverty and other ills.
What was the response of Pakistan – more terror attacks. In order to create a friendly environment the Indian Prime Minister even at the risk of his personal security broke his journey in Lahore to wish the Pakistani P.M. on a wedding in his family. And at that time, it were only these pseudo intellectuals who had made fun of Modi and criticized his stopover in Pakistan.
Where are these signatories when the minor Hindu and Sikh girls are abducted, raped, converted and forcibly married in Pakistan? Did any one of them wrote to the Pakistani Prime Minister on this? Where were these signatories when on the directives of Pakistan the Kashmiri Pundits were tortured, killed and thrown out of Kashmir?
Can you cite any of these signatories having even condemned the atrocities and killings of Hindus in Bangladesh during the period of that Noble awardee Yunas? Are these signatories so illiterate that they can’t see how the ISI started establishing terrorist basis in Bangladesh after the ouster of Sheikh Hasina? These are the same signatories who shout against the intruder Bangladeshi and Rohingiyas being deleted from the voters list and being sent back to Bangladesh.
The hatred for Hindus that is preached from childhood in the Pakistani Madarsas by the fanatics, the raising of the slogans of Gazwa-e-Hind and the war threats by Pakistan will not be taken into account by these signatories. They are blind not only to the ISI engineered terror attacks like Pahalgam where Hindus were shot after asking their religion or say any other Pak sponsored terror attacks on India. They are deaf to the cries of the victims of terrorism but their ears are wide open to the Pakistanis crying for water.
The whole world knows that Pakistan not only shelters Islamist terrorist organizations but trains them, finances them and exports them world over. These signatories cannot see that how the UN declared terrorists with reward on their heads are patronized in Pakistan. Obviously, these signatories are accustomed to the hugs given to them by the Pakistanis along with Kababs and Biryani – what a deception to cover the terror and hate psyche towards India.
The best example I can quote here is that of Manishankar Ayyer, who is in own words has travelled 59 times to Pakistan. What for? This man miserably failed in his diplomatic duties when while posted in Pakistan he could not assess the hate and terror against India that has been injected into the bloods of Pakistanis by their military leaders, ISI and politicians. His only concern was the “warm hugs” and the feasts given to him. Can this be the sole reason of advocacy for dialogue with Pakistan? No! There is definitely something more behind this stance of his which I suspect but restrict myself at the moment to predict. (see my video lecture on Manishankar Ayyer)
After the failures of the UPA to react on Mumbai terror attacks any defensive action being taken by India in the last twelve years, whether it was Surgical Strike, Balkot or Operation Sindoor to liquidate the terrorist camps in Pakistan has not only been criticized by these signatories but was also questioned with all kinds of wild charges and criticism.
It is not surprising to find an ex-RAW Chief among these signatories for his contemporary actions and writings clearly raise a question that whether he was working for the interests of India while heading this agency? Similarly, Mahbooba Mufti is known for pursuing a pro-Pakistani agenda and the Abdullah’s taking a middle line according to what suits their personal interests in retaining their family’s political domination in Kashmir.
Even the all party delegations that went time to time to talk to the pro-Pakistani separatists in Kashmir never brought any positive results. The sole reason being that these separatists being puppets of Pakistan acted on the instructions of ISI – very well known to these negotiating leaders of Indian political parties.
What have these peace mongers to say to Pakistan on the brutalities in Balochistan, Pakhtunhwa, Sindh and POK? Many among these signatories like Humayun Kabir, Mahbooba Mufti or the Abdullah’s are Muslims along with the 56 Pakistanis who keep advocating for the Palestinians in Gaza for the sole reason that they are their co-religionists but will they question why Pakistan under successive governments, military and so called political parties, has been the biggest killer of Muslims whether it was in Bangladesh, Yemen or within Pakistan – Balochs, Pathans, Sindhis and now in POK? And why these signatories remained silent on what China is doing to Islamists in its territories.
None of these signatories will dare to answer the issues I have raised here and lastly would ask them this; you are shouting for talks with Pakistan but you haven’t specified with whom to talk in Pakistan? Asim Munir, the Field Marshal, Sehbaaz Sharif, the puppet Prime Minister, ISI which pulls the strings, the terrorist leaders who flourish there or the fanatic Mullahs who spread venom against India and Hindus? These people are also blind to the Pakistani hypocrisy in relation to Sikhs as on the one side Pakistan supports the so called Khalistani terrorists and on the other hand how the Sikhs shrines and Sikh girls are brutalized there.
Cultural exchanges and multiculturalism is feasible among those who respect the other cultures and intend to live in harmony in multicultural societies. You know what is being done by Islamists in Europe, England and America. And these signatories are demanding restoration of cultural exchanges with Pakistan whose Field Marshal revived the psyche of Syed Ahmad Khan and Jinnah that Hindus and Muslims can’t live together. They want us to play cricket with Pakistan whose cricket captain Shaheed Afridi spits venom against India and Hindus with open links to the terrorist leaders besides their Minister running away with our cricket trophy.
The stand of the Indian government is absolutely justified that unless the terrorist factories are disbanded, the wanted terrorists by India are handed over and the terror launching pads are destroyed there cannot be any talks. Indians are also humans and their blood also matters to us. Though, it may be of any concern to these signatories.
