NEW DELHI: A case linked to a private dental clinic in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, has once again highlighted the tactics allegedly used by Islamists to entrap Hindu women. A man employed at the ‘Dental Square’ clinic in the Madan Mahal police station area faces serious allegations of working as a dentist under a Hindu alias and allegedly luring Hindu women into romantic relationships with the intent of marriage.
The true identity of the man- Sayed Ishaq Asrar, who had been living in Jabalpur posing as a dentist named ‘Rajkumar’, was exposed after a victim from Kolkata, fed up with his harassment, lodged a police complaint. The accused had deceived three women by concealing his identity and had secured the hospital job using forged identification documents.
Following the complaint, the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) and other Hindu organisations staged protests. Meanwhile, the police have detained the accused and initiated an investigation into his documents, identity and educational qualifications. Allegations have also been raised against the clinic’s proprietor, Dr. Saket Agarwal, for hiring the accused without proper verification. The police have summoned the accused’s degree, appointment records and other documents from the hospital management.

Accusation of Entrapping Three Hindu Women in Romantic Relationships
The complainant, herself a dentist, alleges that the accused first established a relationship with a Hindu woman in Hyderabad. Later, after meeting the complainant in Kolkata, he claimed to be a Hindu and divorced from his first wife, subsequently marrying her, allegedly at the Gayatri Mandir. He then brought her to Jabalpur but abandoned her after coming into contact with another woman. The complaint further alleges that the accused used this same modus operandi, a fake identity, to entrap three Hindu women in romantic relationships.
Allegations of Forged Documents and Repeated Identity Changes
In this regard, the Vishva Hindu Parishad claims that the accused altered various identity documents, including his Aadhaar card, multiple times to conceal his true identity. The organization alleges that he used different identities by updating his Aadhaar details on eight separate occasions. The police have seized identity documents bearing two different names from the accused, and their authenticity is currently being verified.

Protests by Hindu Organisations; Police Take Charge
Upon learning of the incident, activists from the Vishva Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal arrived at the Dental Square Clinic and staged a protest. Subsequently, the accused was detained and taken to the Madan Mahal police station. A tense situation arose as a large crowd of activists gathered outside the station; the police stepped up security measures and brought the situation under control.
Clinic Management Also Under Scrutiny
Protesters have raised serious questions regarding the clinic’s management. They argue that the situation could have been avoided had the documents undergone proper verification prior to the appointment. The police are now investigating whether the hospital administration conducted the necessary verification during the hiring process.
Police Initiate Multi-faceted Investigation
Madan Mahal TI Dheeraj Raj stated that an Aadhaar card bearing a Jabalpur address, but listing a different name, was found in the accused’s possession, whereas preliminary information indicates he is originally from Hyderabad. According to the Madan Mahal police, a detailed investigation is underway regarding the complaints received against the accused, as well as his identity documents, educational certificates and claims concerning his marriage. Facts linked to various states will also be verified. The police state that further legal action will be taken based on the evidence gathered once the investigation is complete.
