Sarsanghchalak Ji appreciates the work of Gau-Seva
On the occasion, RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat Ji emphasised the need to take gau-seva beyond sentiment and connect cattle with agriculture, energy, organic manure and the rural economy. He noted that the various initiatives undertaken by Gau-Vigyan Anusandhan Kendra by integrating tradition with science provide a meaningful and useful direction for society.
Highlighting the significance of gau-seva, he emphasised that gau-mata is not merely a matter of faith but is deeply connected with rural life, agriculture, the environment and the economy. The protection of cattle, he noted, should not be limited to providing shelter, but should also ensure that they receive a useful and dignified place in society.
The birth centenary celebrations of Shraddheya Ashok Singhal Ji served as a tribute to his dedicated life devoted to gau-seva, gau Raksha and national service. His significant contribution to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi movement was also remembered on the occasion. Dignitaries present at the event included Vishwa Hindu Parishad International President Alok Kumar Ji and Gau Raksha Vibhag Upadhyay Ji, among others.
In his presidential address, Padmesh Gupta, President, Gau-Vigyan Anusandhan Kendra, spoke about the centre’s 30-year journey and its various initiatives. He said that taking forward the work of the centre by integrating gau sewa, gau raksha, cow-based agriculture and rural development with science would be a true tribute to the vision of Shraddheya Ashok Singhal Ji. Emphasising the importance of Nandi conservation, he said that Nandi should not merely be provided shelter in gaushalas but should also be made useful once again in rural life and the rural economy. Through the bull-driven energy project, efforts are being made to operate flour mills, oil presses and other rural equipment, thereby creating a sustainable economic basis for the protection and care of Nandi. He also highlighted the centre’s work in Panchagavya research, cow-based products, Rani Durgavati Gramin Haat, initiatives across 141 villages in tribal areas, Gauvidyapeeth, IVF and organic manure, and expressed the resolve to build a local and sustainable cow-based economy through the concept of ‘Gaunomics’.
