Ayodhya witnessed an atmosphere charged with devotion, Vedic resonance, and spiritual fervour on the second day of the Pratishtha Dwadashi Patotsav celebrations at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir, marking the second anniversary of the historic Pran Pratishtha of the mandir. Sacred rituals and grand ceremonial processions reaffirmed the mandir’s central place in India’s civilisational and spiritual consciousness.

As part of the ongoing Yajna ceremonies, a series of profound Vedic rituals were performed in the Yagyashala under the guidance of Pujya Vishwaprasanna Tirtha Ji Maharaj. The rituals included Tattva Kalash, Tattva Homa, Manyu Sukta Homa, Ram Taraka Mantra Homa, and other prescribed rites, each deeply rooted in ancient Vedic science. According to the acharyas conducting the worship, these karmas are aimed at harmonising the fundamental elements of creation, removing obstacles, eliminating adharma, and restoring spiritual and social balance.

The day began with Vastu Puja, accompanied by Vedic chants, followed by Ganahoma, Tattvakalasha Sthapana, Tattvahoma, and Sudarshana Homa. With the ceremonial lighting of the sacred fire, priests meticulously carried out the rituals in strict adherence to scriptural injunctions, invoking divine energies for the well-being of the nation and humanity at large.

In the evening, the spiritual grandeur reached a peak as the paalki (palanquin) procession of the festival deity was taken out within the mandir complex. The palanquin circumambulated the Shri Ram Mandir premises three times, a ritual that is performed daily throughout the duration of the Patotsav. Devotees gathered in large numbers to witness the procession and to have darshan of Bhagwan Shri Ram, turning the mandir complex into a sea of faith and devotion.

This five-day Pratishtha Dwadashi Patotsav is being conducted by eminent Vedic scholars and coordinated under the supervision of Jagadguru Madhvacharya, a trustee of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. Devotees from across India and abroad have arrived in Ayodhya to participate in the sacred observances, reflecting the global spiritual significance of the Ram Janmabhoomi.

Anticipating the massive turnout, the district administration and the mandir trust have put in place elaborate security and crowd management arrangements. Entry into the mandir complex, darshan schedules, and movement of devotees are being closely monitored to ensure safety and smooth conduct of the rituals.
