GUWAHATI: “Love Jihad” reached Arunachal Pradesh. The fear of the indigenous people of the state came to reality, all because of the illegal invasion of the border state by suspected Bangladeshi Muslims and Islamists from other parts of the country. Recently, railway police and passengers caught a young couple in a Delhi-bound train from Itanagar. After a preliminary enquiry, it was found that the minor Arunachali girl was accompanying a man named Dilwar Hussain.
The man couldn’t produce any documents as proof of his identity and address. The minor girl’s mobile was broken. Dilwar confessed that he was working in Itanaga as a construction worker for several years. He trapped the minor girl with a fake identity and convinced her to elope with him in a promise to marry her. But the minor girl doesn’t know anything about the boy’s identity, address, or family. It was found that the girl was on her way to school in Itanagar when Dilwar forcefully took her to Naharlagun railway station, and they boarded a Delhi-bound train.
Arunachal Pradesh Indigenous Youth Organisation (APIYO) leaders said that all heinous crimes, including murder, robbery, rape, spy, and love jihad, are committed by the men of a particular religion, Islam. Huge numbers of suspected Bangladeshi Muslims and Muslims from other parts of the country, including J&K, are coming and settling in Arunachal Pradesh. It is not possible to identify what these people are doing in the state, as the number is huge. So the locals have to be very vigilant. The APIYO team has identified 12 illegal Mosques and Madrassa which were constructed without any approval. APIYO reiterated that the movement against the illegal intruders will continue for a long time until they are rooted out from the state.
Meanwhile, APIYO members uninstalled a signboard writing Masjid Road in Itanagar. The youth said that no roads in the city will be allowed to named after any religious structure constructed by suspected outsiders.
Arunachal Pradesh government last month had issued a list of illegal mosques and madrassas in the capital region area. As per the list, the capital Jama Masjid, Borum Madrassa, Konkad Masjid, Nirjuli Masjid, Boda Namsi Masjid, and six Panja Khana constructed by Bangladeshi-origin Muslims are illegal and unauthorised. The superintendent of police, Naharlagun, informed the home department that there are 12 mosques and madrassas illegally constructed in the capital region by the illegal settlers. They even constructed an illegal masjid near the helipad in Naharlagun, which is a serious security concern. The land where the mosque was constructed in 2009 has been on lease since August 31, 2024, only, which means the masjid was constructed illegally in tribal land 15 years before the lease agreement was signed. The masjid has no government approval or legal registration, where 10 children are being taught religious studies. The mosque authorities have not taken any building permission or development permission from the city planning authority prior to the construction of the building.
