Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC) has earned a coveted spot in the Guinness World Records 2025, for achieving the highest number of registrations on a citizen engagement platform in a single month, with over 3.53 crore valid entries on MyGov and an astounding 21 crore+ viewership across TV and digital platforms.

Pariksha Pe Charcha Sets a World Record!

The record-setting achievement was formally recognised at a ceremonial event held in the national capital, where Rishi Nath, official adjudicator from Guinness World Records, handed over the certificate of achievement in the presence of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, IT and Communications Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister of State for Education Jitin Prasada, School Education Secretary Sanjay Kumar, and MyGov CEO Nand Kumarum.

Launched in 2018, Pariksha Pe Charcha began as a visionary initiative by the Modi Government to engage directly with students facing exam-related stress and societal expectations. Over the years, it has grown into a pan-India movement, fostering resilience, confidence, and critical thinking among students, while also involving parents and educators in building a more positive learning environment.

Held annually before the board examination season, PPC now reflects a transformational shift in the way India views exams—not as a source of anxiety but as an opportunity to grow, reflect, and celebrate learning. The initiative continues to draw massive participation from students across government, private, and rural schools alike, truly democratising access to motivational dialogue and policy-driven advice.

The official Guinness World Records recognition is more than a trophy; it is a validation of India’s unique educational ethos—one that combines digital innovation, citizen participation, and holistic learning. The 3.53 crore+ registrations on MyGov, the Government of India’s citizen engagement platform, demonstrate the growing power of tech-enabled governance in deepening the bond between the state and its people, especially the youth.

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan described the record as a “landmark endorsement of the programme’s widespread popularity and emotional resonance with students and parents.” He added, “PPC has evolved from a government programme into a public movement. It is aligned with the values of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which places students at the centre of learning.”

This is Pradhan’s second Guinness World Record achievement during his tenure—the first being the globally recognised Pahal LPG Subsidy scheme.

IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw lauded the achievement, calling Pariksha Pe Charcha a “model of meaningful engagement in the Amrit Kaal.” He emphasised that the record is not merely numerical but symbolic of the trust and emotional connect young citizens feel with the country’s leadership. Minister of State Jitin Prasada highlighted MyGov’s digital outreach strategy as instrumental in achieving the record, underscoring the role of technology in fostering participatory governance.

MyGov, under the leadership of CEO Nand Kumarum, has played a crucial role in expanding the platform’s reach—from urban centres to remote corners of the country, using multilingual tools, interactive features, and user-friendly design to maximise accessibility.

Bringing NEP-2020 to life

PPC is not just a motivational programme—it is a manifestation of NEP-2020 in action. The dialogue covers themes such as:

  • Exam stress management
  • Mental health and emotional well-being
  • Time management
  • Digital distractions
  • Holistic report cards and experiential learning
  • Career development and innovation mindset

It reflects the broader NEP goal of shifting from rote memorisation to learning with purpose. Initiatives such as Skill India Digital Hub, combined with PPC’s empowering messaging, are cultivating a generation ready to meet global challenges.

With over 21 crore people tuning in across platforms, Pariksha Pe Charcha is now firmly entrenched as a cultural phenomenon that brings the entire nation together—parents, teachers, and students alike for a shared vision of a positive, pressure-free educational journey.
