LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken a tough stance on the progress of land acquisition for various development projects across the state. In a high-level meeting, he issued strict directives to officials, setting a deadline of March 15, 2025, for settling all pending land acquisition and compensation cases. He warned that delays in government projects will not be tolerated, as they hinder both revenue generation and infrastructure development.

CM Yogi emphasised the need for speed in clearing pending land acquisition issues. He instructed officials to ensure that no government project faces delay due to unresolved land matters. To facilitate this, nodal officers will be appointed to monitor the progress of land acquisition and ensure projects are completed within the stipulated timeframe.

During the review, the Chief Minister also focused on the quality of development works. He directed officials to expedite the construction of major projects, including a 350-bed Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) hospital in Greater Noida and a 100-bed hospital in Gorakhpur. The Greater Noida hospital alone is expected to create nearly 1,000 direct and 3,000 indirect jobs, contributing significantly to employment opportunities in the region.

CM Yogi instructed District Magistrates to engage with farmers and speed up compensation distribution. He emphasized that timely completion of public welfare projects is essential so that people can benefit from them at the earliest. He also directed officials to ensure transparency by informing farmers about the circle rate in advance to avoid disputes.

The Chief Minister made it clear that those creating hurdles in development projects will face strict action. He warned officials that project delays increase costs and negatively impact the state’s revenue. During a video conference review of central and state government projects, he reiterated that development and employment generation remain key priorities.

To ensure efficiency, CM Yogi has mandated that District Magistrates review development works weekly, while Commissioners will conduct reviews every 15 days. Reports will be submitted to the Chief Minister’s Office, the Chief Secretary, and senior officials of the concerned departments.

The Uttar Pradesh government is not only focusing on infrastructure development but also on creating job opportunities. CM Yogi has instructed officials to provide training to young entrepreneurs under the Chief Minister’s Youth Entrepreneur Development Campaign. This initiative aims to equip them with essential skills in marketing, designing, packaging, and technology to help them start their businesses.

Additionally, financial support will be strengthened by organising loan distribution camps across all 18 divisions of the state. The goal is to increase the Credit Deposit Ratio (CD ratio) from 67 per cent to 70 per cent in the 2025-26 financial year, ensuring that more financial resources are available for businesses and entrepreneurs.
