In a momentous occasion steeped in cultural, mythological, and astronomical significance, the Pran-Pratishtha of Ram Lalla at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya is set to take place on January 22, 2024. The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra has meticulously organised a seven-day schedule of rituals and events, leading up to the grand inauguration. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with other dignitaries such as Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, and the president of the mandir trust Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, are expected to grace the historic event.
The awe-inspiring Ram Mandir, designed by the renowned Sompura family of Ahmedabad, stands majestically on a sprawling 71-acre site. The chief architect, Chandrakant Sompura, assisted by his sons Nikhil Sompura and Ashish Sompura, meticulously planned the temple in the Nagara style. The chosen date, Dwadashi of Shukla Paksha in the Pausha month of the Hindu calendar, aligns with the mythology of Bhagwan Vishnu taking the form of a tortoise during the Amrit Manthan. Additionally, the date falls under the auspicious Mrigashira Nakshatra, featuring Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga, Amrit Siddhi Yoga, and Ravi Yoga, adding layers of cultural, mythological, and astronomical significance to the event.
Darshan and Aarti Timings
The doors of the Ram Mandir will open to devotees starting January 23, with darshan timings divided into two slots
Morning: 7:00 AM to 11:30 AM
Afternoon: 02:00 PM to 07:00 PM
A series of three aartis will be conducted daily, enhancing the spiritual experience for devotees

Devotees eager to participate in the divine aartis can book passes online or at the temple, depending on slot availability. The process is as follows:

- Log in with your mobile number to receive an OTP.
- Navigate to ‘My Profile’ to book a slot for Aarti or Darshan.
- Choose the desired date and Aarti timing.
- Provide the necessary credentials.
- Collect your pass from the counter at the Temple Premises before the Aarti ceremony.
It’s essential to note that same-day bookings depend on slot availability, and devotees must present themselves at the camp office at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi 30 minutes before the Aarti schedule with a valid government ID to receive Aarti passes.
The temple trust has extended invitations to over 7,000 dignitaries, including cricket legends Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli, Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan, industrialists Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani, political figures LK Advani, JP Nadda, Eknath Shinde, and representatives from around 50 countries, making the consecration ceremony a truly global and historic event.
