“Roads have been built in 4.5 lakh villages of Bharat under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. Due to this, development reached the villages, schools were built, transportation became easier and development got a new momentum. This is good governance,” said Union Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, while addressing the inaugural session of Panchjanya’s ‘Sagar Manthan Sushasan Samvad 2.0’ in Goa. The Minister further said, “We have to make Bharat powerful in the economic as well as defence sectors to establish peace in the world. Whatever is being done for the welfare of the last person of society, to raise their youth level, to provide a house to every homeless person, to feed food to every hungry person, that is true nationalism, that is patriotism.” To make Bharat a prosperous nation, Union Road and Transport Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided that within the next five years, we will become the third-largest economy in the world. Our model is the best for the development of this country. ‘Amrit Mahotsav’ is taking place today after India became Independent in 1947. However, after the country’s Independence, it is necessary to evaluate what the political parties did during that period. Congress was founded on the ideas of Mahatma Gandhi, and later, Pandit Nehru implemented his policies combining democracy and socialism.

The life values that society believes in are part of religion. Many people consider the Hindu nation to be a geopolitical concept. The reason for increasing crimes against women is lust towards women. Nothing will happen just by making laws. The values of life must be sacred.” VHP General Secretary said there is a need to understand the difference between freedom and liberty; only then can things become good. “The history of Bharat is Hindu and there is a need to understand its life values, its culture. Hindu culture is environment-loving. That is why we worship trees and give the earth the status of mother. Our culture is vibrant. Culture works to give a vision of life to the whole world. ‘Armor Sarva Bhuteshu’ means ‘Bhagwan’ is in all of us.”
Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation, General VK Singh, said when the BJP Government came into power in 2014, Modi Ji had given a guarantee that if you got stuck anywhere, we would rescue you. In Panchjanya’s ‘Sagar Manthan Sushasan Samvad 2.0’, Chief Minister of Goa Pramod Sawant targeted Congress and described it as synonymous with corruption. He said that Congress and the Delhi man (Kejriwal) have developed a habit of eating alone and others (those emulating the two leaders) also cultivating this habit. To treat such patients, a new therapy has come on the market, ED therapy. Such patients are getting very good treatment through this therapy. Sawant said it is true that Goa is identified by its beaches. But Goa was ruled by the Portuguese for 450 years. Still, it is great that we have preserved our culture even after so many years. Saptakoteshwar temple was built 350 years ago by Chhatrapati Shivaji, and I had the privilege of reconstructing it. Also inaugurated it. Apart from beaches, there are also wildlife sanctuaries in Goa. The whole of Goa is worth seeing in the rain.”
Minister of State for Tourism and Ports, Shipping and Waterways Shripad Yesso Naik said that Ram temple is an issue of our faith and culture of the country. We consider Ram not only as ‘Bhagwan’, but he is an ideal man for all. The construction of Sri Ram temple was the need of the country and now it is being opened. Ram Janmabhoomi is going to be a big destination of the country and the Tourism Ministry is doing big work for it. It is the responsibility of the state to develop tourism, and it is the responsibility of the central government to support it. The Central Government provided funding for the Kashi Corridor, the appearance of Kedarnath has been changed. All kinds of facilities are being provided there. Tourism will be given the status of industry. It is needed more and more. We are helping with this. Shripad Naik stressed the development of tourism under the public-private partnership (PPP) model like other sectors. Tourism will play a big role in realising PM Modi’s third economy. Today, many youth are getting into tourism. The situation in Goa today is such that there is a need for more rooms for the tourists coming here. This indicates that tourism has increased here. Youth should make their career by getting involved in tourism.
A total of 16 speakers participated in ‘Sagar Manthan Good Governance Dialogue 2.0’, and they presented their views on various issues. Like last time, this time too, the tagline of the ‘Samvad’ was kept as Good Governance Samvad 2.0. Minister of State for Tourism of India Shripad Naik, Managing Director of milk products manufacturing company Amul Jayen Mehta and many other entrepreneurs also participated in the programme. It is noteworthy that in 2022, the Sagar Manthan programme of Panchjanya was also held in Goa. It took place at Novotel Goa Dona Sylvia Resort, Cavelossim. Last time in this programme, discussions were held focusing on the events, customs and policies related to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, future India, welfare schemes, various aspects of good governance and proclamation of Indianness in the world.
