On April 18, the Rajasthan Police arrested a man for harassing a Korea-based blogger in the city of Jodhpur. The man showed his private part to the woman as she was shooting a blog of herself and capturing the beauty of the city.

The Police took cognizance of the event only after the video of the said incident went viral over social media.

As seen in the video, the accused man followed the woman and kept an eye on her. Later, he displayed the woman his genitals on camera. The man then kept laughing and made lewd gestures at the woman. Soon after, the man laughed behind the Korean girl as she fled while shouting for help.

After the video went viral on social media, the police took cognisance of the event. The police has arrested the man for harassing a Korea-based blogger in Jodhpur.

Amrita Duhan, DCP Jodhpur, said, “A woman foreign tourist blogger had put up a post on her social media that a man had sexually harassed her. Taking cognisance of this information, we identified the man and arrested him”. The DCP further said that the medical team would examine the accused.

The Jodhpur police recognised and took swift action and detained the individual in the video. Deepak Jalani, a resident of Jodhpur, has been identified as the accused man. There have allegedly been some claims that Jalani may be mentally sick, according to the police. Therefore, he would also undergo a medical examination.

This shameful incident occurred months after two men in Mumbai’s Khar neighbourhood sexually abused another South Korean travel influencer.

Hyojeong Park, a South Korean YouTuber better known online as “Mhyochi,” was harassed by two men in Mumbai’s Khar in December last year.

The police took prompt action within 24 hours and arrested the accused; the two men were identified as Bandra residents, Mobeen Chand Mohammad Shaikh and Mohammad Naqeeb Sadrealam Ansari, and relevant sections of IPC were lodged against them. Later, she admitted that the police had acted swiftly, and despite this incident, she plans to revisit India again at some point.
