Alwar, Rajasthan: On March 19, a 16-year-old minor girl committed suicide seven hours after Sabir (32), Nasir (30) and Nazir (32) allegedly kidnapped her and took her to an isolated area where they gangraped her. The deceased victim’s mother has filed a complaint against the accused, the Times of India reported.
According to the complaint, the accused kidnapped the minor girl when she went to check on her family’s cattle around 8 pm on March 18. The accused then took the minor girl to an isolated area on the village’s outskirts, where they gang-raped her.
“After the incident, the girl managed to reach her home at 10 pm and narrated her plight. The family consoled her and told her that they will go to the police in the morning on Sunday and she went to sleep,” Naugavan Police Station SHO Sunil Tak told Times of India. However, the minor girl hung herself from the ceiling of her room to commit suicide around 3 am.
It is pertinent to note that all accused are married men and are on the run. The police have booked the accused for abetment to suicide and gang rape. “The family rushed her to the community health centre in Ramgarh, where she was declared brought dead,” the officer said.
The minor girl’s body was handed to her relatives after post-mortem. The deceased victim’s mother lodged a complaint against the three accused with the police at noon, wherein she narrated that the three accused kidnapped her daughter and gangraped her, forcing her to commit suicide. “Teams are raiding places and we will surely make a breakthrough,” the officer said.
