Buoyed by Punjab Police’s FIR against BJP leader Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders have started threatening others with FIRs.

AAP MLA in Delhi and DDC South Delhi Chairman Naresh Balyan threatened Major (Retired) Surendra Poonia with FIR on the social media platform.

In a social media post, MLA Balyan said, “You’ve also spread fake news. Your number will also come. Kejriwal is not a flower, he’s fire.”

Major (Retired) Poonia responded, saying he’s not scared of FIRs and will keep exposing the anti-Hindu, anti-India, pro-Pakistan agenda of the Aam Aadmi Party and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
Massive outrage followed on the registration of an FIR against Bagga. Punjab Police reached the residence of Bagga on Saturday (April 2).

In a social media post, Bagga informed that when he was in Lucknow on April 2, the Punjab Police reached his Delhi residence. When the Punjab Police couldn’t find him, they started looking for his friends in Delhi. Delhi Police were not kept in the loop about the visit of Punjab Police.

Supreme Court lawyer Prateek Som said, “Not serving 41A notice by Punjab police is violation of Arnesh Kumar Judgment guidelines & Supreme Court/High Court view it very seriously. Keep this in mind Tajinder.”

In the just-concluded Punjab assembly polls, for which results were declared on March 10, the Aam Aadmi Party won a landslide victory in the state. Of the 117 seats in the assembly, AAP won 92 seats.

AAP leader and then Sangrur MP (Lok Sabha) Bhagwant Mann took oath as the chief minister of Punjab on March 16.

Since the FIR against Bagga, a video clip of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has gone viral on different social media platforms in which the Delhi CM could be heard saying let him get control of the police, and he will send a few to jail to teach everyone a lesson.

Commenting on the FIR spree by AAP, columnist Sumeet Bhasin said, “Action by Punjab Police against Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga at behest of Arvind Kejriwal will act as last nail in the coffin of Aam Aadmi Party’s dream. I hope Delhi Police will take cognisance of violating service rules by Punjab Police by reaching at Bagga’s house without informing Delhi Police.”

Regarding the FIR against him, Bagga said that AAP and Arvind Kejriwal can file 100 FIRs against him, but it will not deter him from protesting against the Delhi chief minister.

Recently in the Delhi assembly, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, while criticising the movie The Kashmir Files, called the genocide of Kashmiri Pandits a lie.

After it triggered a massive protest, Kejriwal did a U-turn and said everyone should watch the movie.
