Jhansi: As part of the RSS centenary celebrations, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s Jhansi Mahanagar organised a ‘Yuva Vyavsayee Samvad’ on September 6, engaging young entrepreneurs on nation-building, civic duties, environmental protection, social harmony and family values.

The programme, organised at Pandit Deendayal Auditorium, provided a platform for interaction with young people on issues concerning nation-building, civic responsibility, environmental conservation, social harmony and family awareness. Following the intellectual session, the youth raised 15 questions on various subjects, which were answered in detail by the chief speaker.

The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and the rendition of Vande Mataram. Addressing the youth, J Nandakumar, Akhil Bharatiya Sanyojak of Prajna Pravah, elaborated on the ideas and values embedded in Indian culture, describing them as the foundation for the welfare of society and the nation.

Explaining concepts such as Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam and Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah, J Nandakumar said that Bharatiya thought is not confined to the welfare of one’s own community or nation, but seeks happiness, peace and well-being for the entire world.

He said that people should take pride in being Hindu and asserted that Bharat was, is and will remain a Hindu Rashtra. He further said that Akhand Bharat will become a reality and that continuous efforts are being made towards this objective.

J Nandakumar said that these humanistic and universal values have an important role to play in Bharat’s journey towards becoming a Vishwaguru. For the welfare of the world, he said, the path of war should not be followed; instead, humanity must embrace the ideals and wisdom of Maryada Purushottam Bhagwan Shri Ram.

“Sanatan culture has always nurtured the spirit of peace, coexistence and human welfare,” he said, while elaborating on the meaning and responsibilities associated with being a youth.

During the interaction, the young participants were encouraged to understand their responsibilities towards the nation and society and to actively contribute to nation-building. The chief speaker emphasised that young people should not limit themselves to employment and personal success, but should also remain conscious of social concerns and civic responsibilities.

Referring to the organisational methodology of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, J Nandakumar explained that personal interaction, sitting together, playing, learning and working together are integral to the Sangh’s method of organisation.

He said that this natural and direct form of interaction has enabled the organisation to remain connected with the digital-age generation while retaining its fundamental character.

He called upon the youth to remain socially conscious and actively participate in nation-building rather than limiting themselves to professional and personal achievements. The future of the nation rests in the hands of the youth, he said, adding that self-confidence, determination, courage and fearlessness are essential qualities for them.
