Bhopal: The Vishva Hindu Parishad’s (VHP) Satsang Department began its two-day Akhil Bharatiya meeting in Bhopal on August 20, with 150 volunteers from 43 provinces across the country in attendance.
The meeting, being held on August 30 and 31, was inaugurated in the presence of Mahant 1008 Shri Ram Pravesh Das Ji Maharaj of Gufa Mandir, Milind Ji Parande, Central Organising General Secretary, Koteshwar Ji Sharma, Joint General Secretary, Basant Ji Rath, Central Secretary and Mahendra Dada Vedak, Central Joint Secretary.
The meeting is being held as part of the birth centenary year celebrations of late VHP leader Ashok Singhal.
Addressing the gathering, VHP leaders emphasised the need to establish Bal Sanskar Kendras (value-based centres for children) and service centres through satsang programmes at every district headquarters across the country.
The organisation also stressed that Satsang centres should work among communities to promote employment opportunities, encourage a drug-free youth and strengthen social service initiatives.
The meeting will deliberate on expanding the network of Satsang centres and their role in imparting values, service and social responsibility across the country.
