An alleged video of women distributing pamphlets mocking Hindu rituals and traditions has gone viral on social media, with the incident reported from Hosur in Tamil Nadu. The incident has once again brought into focus allegations that evangelical forces portray non-Christian practices in a negative shade to promote their own faith.
Critics say that instead of speaking about the good aspects of their own religion, some evangelical forces indulge in mocking Hindu traditions rather than attempting to understand or respect Hindu views and Hindutva.

The group, mostly young women and children clad in white dresses, was distributing pamphlets targeting Hindu traditions, including breaking coconuts as offerings, women wearing flowers in their hair, lighting camphor and burning Sambrani (benzoin resin) during worship.
The pamphlets presented these Hindu traditions as unnecessary, misguided, and even wrong and meaningless. They were also found engaging in religious preaching in Hosur.
The women, it can be assumed from their white dress, without jewellery, flowers or forehead spiritual markings, are part of a Pentecost denomination. However, they refused to identify the organisation behind their activities or their masters.
The local Hindus objected to their distributing leaflets at a park and preaching their religion while mocking Hindu traditions.
Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) functionaries said, “In July 2026, pamphlets ridiculing several Hindu religious and cultural practices were distributed in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, by alleged Christian missionaries. After coming to know of this, we went there and questioned them.”
Police personnel arrived at the spot following complaints from VHP functionaries. The police warned them after questioning their activities and motives. They are trying to find their identity and the organisation, if any, behind them.
VHP functionaries said, “While they have a lot of superstitious belief and practices including their attire avoiding flowers, vermilion etc., they do not have any business to poke their noses in Hindu traditions and mocking them. On the other hand, some Christians copy the Hindu traditions like pulling chariot, pada yatra with saffron dhoti and carrying kavadi and milk pots, drawing Kolam, lighting ceremonial brass lamps in their homes with a holy cross moulded atop.”
It is not the first time. There have been innumerable instances of evangelical groups visiting houses with leaflets and luring innocents with promises of curing their illnesses through divine intervention, free from their sins, prosperity, medical help etc., and were chased by Hindu outfits.
Critics say that after the TVK government formed in the state, such activities have been on the rise. Besides CM Vijay, Speaker JCD Prabakar, Adhav Arjuna and nearly a dozen of Christian ministers, his advisor John Arocikyasamy, CoP Amalraj and top and key positions are held by Christians. It was the case during the DMK regime as well. Most of the Loyola coterie were accommodated in the Cabinet and other posts.
One of them was A Loyola Mani, who was appointed as the Chairman of the Tamil Nadu Textbook and Educational Services Corporation.
In the DMK regime, it appointed obscene speaker Dindigul Leony. In his office, Loyola Mani kept a statue of Mari in a glass enclosure in a visible manner. What sort of secularism does the TVK government want to convey to Hindus?

In an undated video, it can be seen that a group of black-shirted Dravida Kazhagam (DK) men were chasing a Hindu Poojari who questioned their protest targeting Hindu Gods and their traditions. The place and identity of the people cannot be ascertained.

Christians in Chennai are building the Asia’s largest indoor Arena with a capacity of 20,000 people including a cross tower spread over 20 acres in Pallavaram Radial Road. It will only be used for Church services, claims a post.
The sprawling building is coming up at Pallavaram Velachery Road. It is going to be inaugurated soon.

Critics question where they could find fund for this monumental structure and who is funding them. That is the reason church pastors, bishops and the NGOs controlled by them are against the FCRA amendments, critics allege. There have been more such buildings in Tamil Nadu and other parts of the country.
It is alleged to be the branch of the New Life Assembly of God Church, another big structure at the arterial and prime location.
“Supreme Court Justice Prasanna B. Varale stated that allocating just 0.1% of the funds designated for the Nashik Kumbh Mela could have saved over 100 to 125 Marathi-medium schools from closing down. They are going beyond their brief and attacking only Hindu temples not other religions. It is their secular nature,” points out critics.

Women were treated as slaves and not given due respect in homes and society”.
