New Delhi: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) will release the IB ACIO 2026 Notification soon for the recruitment of Assistant Central Intelligence Officer (ACIO) Grade II/Executive posts in the Intelligence Bureau (IB). Details regarding vacancies, eligibility, application dates, examination schedule, and the selection process will be published on the MHA website. The recruitment drive is conducted to fill Assistant Central Intelligence Officer Grade II/Executive positions, which is one of the most sought-after intelligence and security jobs offered by the Central Government. While the exact number of vacancies has not yet been announced, previous recruitment trends suggest that a large number of posts could be notified.

IB ACIO 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for the recruitment must satisfy the eligibility conditions prescribed by the Ministry of Home Affairs. As per previous recruitments, applicants must be Indian citizens. The minimum age required is 18 years, while the maximum age is 27 years. Age relaxation will be applicable for reserved category candidates as per Government of India rules.
A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognised university is required to apply. Basic knowledge of computers is considered desirable for the post.
IB ACIO 2026 Registration Process
The registration process of IB ACIO 2026 will be completely online after the notification is released. Candidates will have to visit the official MHA website, complete the registration process, fill in the online application form, upload the required documents, pay the application fee, and submit the application before the last date.
If not revised, the application fee of IB ACIO 2026 for all categories is Rs 550. In addition, General, OBC and EWS male candidates will have to pay an examination fee of Rs 100. Female candidates belonging to General, OBC and EWS categories, as well as SC, ST and Ex-servicemen, are exempted from the examination fee.
IB ACIO 2026 Selection Process
The recruitment process consists of three stages. The first stage is an objective-type written examination (Tier I), followed by a descriptive written examination (Tier II). Candidates who qualify these stages will be called for the Interview/Personality Test (Tier III). The final selection will also include character and antecedent verification and a medical examination.
In terms of pay, selected candidates will be placed in Level 7 of the Pay Matrix, with a pay scale of Rs 44,900 to Rs 1,42,400. Along with the basic salary, employees are also entitled to several allowances, including a 20 per cent Special Security Allowance and additional compensation for duties performed on holidays.
