DEHRADUN: “Bharat’s identity is rooted in its spiritual traditions, cultural heritage and commitment to the welfare of the world. The country’s thousands-year-old civilisation and cultural consciousness constitute its greatest strength, which needs to be understood and carried forward,” said RSS Akhil Bharatiya Sah Prachar Pramukh Pradeep Joshi at the Samapan Samahroh of the 15-day Sangh Shiksha Varg held at Himalayan International School at Dehradun, Uttarakhand.

He said that society must remain alert to border-related challenges and demographic changes.
He stated that the Sangh’s hundred-year journey has been a journey of thought, faith, development and social awakening. Swayamsevaks are working to strengthen discipline, unity, values and the spirit of service in society. Bharat faces both external and internal challenges.

Referring to the sensitivity of the nation’s borders, he said that the country must remain prepared for every situation. Describing demographic changes in border areas as a matter of concern, he said that anti-national forces and foreign conspiracies are attempting to weaken Bharat, and society must remain vigilant against such efforts. He added that the nature of modern warfare is rapidly changing and conflicts are no longer confined to geographical borders. Therefore, promoting indigenous research and innovation in science, technology and defence has become the need of the hour.

He said that strengthening Bharat’s cultural roots and national consciousness is essential for achieving the goal of an Atmanirbhar Bharat. The Sangh is not opposed to anyone; rather, it works to strengthen national consciousness and cultural awareness in society. He added that Bharat can move towards Param Vaibhav only by increasing awareness regarding social harmony, Kutumb Prabodhan, environmental protection, self-awareness and civic duties.

The chief guest of the event, retired Lieutenant General Jaiveer Singh Negi, said that during the 15-day training programme, the swayamsevaks demonstrated exemplary discipline, organisational ability and dedication to national service. He said that the training received during the Varg would inspire them to play a more effective role in society and in the national interest. He emphasised that alongside soldiers, aware citizens and swayamsevaks also have an important role in the nation’s progress and security, and that every citizen has a responsibility to contribute to nation-building through the positive use of time and energy.

Presenting the report, Varg Vyavastha Pramukh Sandeep Mahawar informed that a total of 306 shiksharthis participated in the 15-day training camp that commenced on May 30. These included 144 college students and young entrepreneurs in the 18–40 age group, and 162 teachers, employees, businessmen and retired participants in the 40–65 age group.

During the samapam samaroh, swayamsevaks also presented demonstrations of Dand Yuddha, Niyuddha, Yogasanas, Surya Namaskar and collective Samata, showcasing the training imparted during the Varg.

The programme was attended by several distinguished citizens, industrialists, representatives of social organisations and a large number of Matrushakti.
