In a significant move, India’s leading airlines are set to restore full-scale operations at Hamad International Airport starting May 1.

Air India, Air India Express, and IndiGo plan to resume their flight services between Doha and various destinations in India, signalling a return to normalcy in one of the busiest international corridors for Indian travellers.

The Indian Embassy in Doha has emphasised that this expansion is not an isolated effort but a synchronised move involving international aviation stakeholders. It clarified that all flight operations are being conducted in close coordination with relevant authorities and airline partners, and advised passengers to remain in touch with respective airlines for the latest flight-related updates.

The resumption of services comes in the backdrop of heightened geopolitical tensions in West Asia over the past two months. On February 28, US President Donald Trump launched a joint US-Israeli military campaign targeting Iranian leadership and nuclear infrastructure. The escalation triggered a wider regional conflagration, disrupting airspace, aviation schedules, and passenger movement across key transit hubs, including Doha.
