The Nashik TCS BPO Jihad case has rapidly evolved into one of the most closely watched corporate investigations in recent times. What initially appeared as an isolated complaint soon expanded into a series of legal actions, with as many as nine FIRs being registered between March 26 and April 3.
So far, the Maharashtra Police have arrested several accused individuals identified as Danish Sheikh, Tausif Attar, Raza Memon, Shahrukh Qureshi, Asif Ansari, Shafi Sheikh, and Ashwini Chanani. Among those named, Nida Khan remains absconding, while the rest are in police custody.
Given the gravity and pattern of allegations, authorities have constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the case in detail. Officials have indicated that the matter is not being treated as an isolated incident, but rather as a potentially organised pattern of misconduct that unfolded over a period of time.
Social media is flooded with similar claims
Almost immediately after the Nashik case came into the public domain, social media platforms witnessed a surge of posts and testimonies from individuals claiming similar experiences in corporate environments across different cities.
While the authenticity of these claims remains unverified, the volume and consistency of such accounts have drawn attention. Many individuals have chosen to remain anonymous, citing professional risks, but have shared detailed descriptions of their experiences.
This report presents these testimonies as they have been shared, without independently verifying their accuracy.
Hyderabad case and claims around corporate hiring patterns
One of the most widely circulated accounts relates to a company identified as VXI in Hyderabad. According to the claim: “The HR department only hires Muslim employees, even those with just intermediate certificates. From the manager level to common employees, almost everyone is Muslim.”
The same account further alleges: “The cab service the company provides has only Muslim vendors. Out of 10 vendors, 6–7 are Muslims, and they reportedly target women softly.”

Another claim from the same set of allegations states: “Almost every Muslim employee in the company has a Hindu girlfriend. There are Muslim women in the company as well, but no one touches them, they only go after Hindu girls.”
A specific incident is also mentioned: “A Muslim employee trapped a girl named Bhavika, lured her into a court marriage, and made her sever ties with her family.”
Separately, an individual claiming to be associated with a corporate office in Hyderabad shared: “On Ramzan the Muslims in the office would wash their feets in the washbasin in the name of wuzu and would offer namaz wherever they want.”
Accounts from Kolkata, Amazon offices and workplace practices
Additional allegations have surfaced from other locations. One post refers to a Wipro office in Kolkata’s Salt Lake area, mentioning workplace dynamics and cultural practices. Another mentions an Amazon customer service office where: “Greetings are taking place in ‘Assalamu Walaikum’.”
A separate testimony adds: “In the month of Ramadan, they would ask Hindus to keep roza as its good for health. They would wash foot in wash basin, offer namaz wherever they want and things like this.”

Screenshots of workplace chats have also been circulated, including messages such as: “Insha Allah sabko dawat dungi” “Allah tumhari madad kare”. These messages are said to be from office groups that include employees from different backgrounds.
Experiences from Pune, Mumbai and the financial sector
Testimonies from Pune-based offices also emerged, including one that states: “I don’t wish to disclose my identity; however, the Barclays office in Kharadi, Pune, is the same. To be more specific, the underwriting teams and broadly the entire mortgage team in the Pune office are full of one community.”
The same individual added: “Now that the Nashik incident is out in the open, I can correlate it with my office too.”
Another claim states: “In the name of secularism, corporates only hire females. And if it’s an opening for a male candidate, 60-70% of the time it is from the community in question.”
From a finance company employee: “The top managers are from the Muslim community. They leave early throughout the month of Ramzan, sometimes even in the afternoon, and take an extra hour off. But when I try to go home at 6 pm during Navratri, I am stopped and asked to complete nine hours, even though they know very well that I am fasting.”
Received a concerning message from an employee at a Tech Mahindra BPO in Goregaon, alleging biased hiring practices, unequal workplace policies, and religious favoritism during festivals.

The same individual further stated: “My manager is Muslim, and one Muslim employee got promoted in just two years, while I have spent seven years in the company. He is always pulling me back. Now, another person has been hired in our team, he is also Muslim, and the HR is Muslim as well.”
IT, BPO and telecom sector testimonies
Several claims have also emerged from employees in the IT and BPO sectors.
One testimony reads, “Tech Mahindra BPO Hyderabad – same case as TCS Nashik. Colleagues are promoting religion among BPO employees in cabs.”
Another states, “I work at Tech Mahindra in Goregaon IT Park. At present, more than 60% of the employees are Muslim boys. I have noticed that many of them have Hindu girlfriends. I feel very uncomfortable working here.”
The same account continues, “There is a Muslim HR by the name of Gulam Ghous. He is responsible for hiring many Muslim employees. During Ramzan, he gives them complete freedom. They have iftar parties daily during that month. I feel like I am working in a mini Pakistan here.”

From another employee, “This also happens in Cognizant Pune. Our manager is Muslim, and he gets all the promotions. He is given as much work-from-home and leave as he wants, while if we are even five minutes late from a break, we receive emails.”
A separate testimony states, “A similar situation is happening in Airtel Gurgaon. There is a Kashmiri Muslim team lead who is hiring more Muslim employees and facilitating interactions between them and Hindu girls.”
Workplace culture, leave policies and promotions
Across multiple testimonies, recurring concerns include workplace practices, leave policies, and promotions.
One claim states, “Some of my friends working at L&T Construction say that all Muslim employees are allowed a 4-hour break for Friday prayers without any issues, while we are not even getting leave on Sundays.”
Another alleges, “Senior managers show aggression toward junior employees publicly, then later promote them… it feels staged.”
