RSS ABPS 2026: Special exhibition showcasing life of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur and Haryana icons inaugurated at Samalkha

A special exhibition at Madhav Srishti Kendra in Pattikalyana, Samalkha, showcases the life and sacrifice of the ninth Sikh Guru, Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, along with the contributions of Haryana’s historic personalities

A special exhibition has been set up at the Madhav Srishti Kendra located in Pattikalyana. In the exhibition, glimpses of the life of the ninth Sikh Guru, the great martyr Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, and along with the historical and puranic places of Haryana, the lives, thoughts and contributions of various great personalities towards society have been displayed. The exhibition was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s Sah Sarkaryavah Dr Krishna Gopal Ji on March 12. He offered floral tribute and bowed before the pictures of Bharat Mata and Sikh Guru Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.

The meeting of the Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha of the RSS is going to be held in the Madhav Srishti campus.

The exhibition has four main sections. In one part, there are pictures and descriptions of great personalities who achieved distinction in various fields, including great freedom fighters of Haryana, brave warriors, and great sportspersons.

In the second part, many important incidents from the life of the ninth Sikh Guru Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji have been shown through pictures. This is the 350th year of the sacrifice of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, who sacrificed everything for the country and society, and on this occasion the exhibition is a special centre of attraction for visitors.

Apart from this, material showing the eternal connection of the land of Haryana with the Saraswati River and the great scripture Bhagavad Gita has also been displayed in the exhibition.

The exhibition also has pictures of deceased swayamsevaks who played an important role in the expansion of Sangh work in Haryana. In addition, pictures and life introductions of deceased pracharaks of the RSS have also been displayed in the exhibition.

In the exhibition, there are pictures of Lohgarh Fort, the capital of the first Khalsa state, and various incidents related to Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and his life.

Prominently, the pictures displayed include those of Bhagat Phool Singh, founder of North India’s women university located in Khanpur Kalan and a pioneer of women’s education; the peak personality of Haryanvi Ragini tradition and great Surya poet Dada Lakhmichand; great farmer leader Dinbandhu Sir Chhotu Ram; freedom fighter and great warrior Rao Tularam; martyr of the 1857 revolution Seth Hukumchand Jain; Raja Nahar Singh of Ballabhgarh who launched a struggle against the British; Kushal Singh Dahiya of Badhkhalsa village in Sonipat who gave his head to protect the honour of the head of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji; the great warrior Gokula Jat who fought Aurangzeb; Dada Kanha who stopped conversions in Mewat; Baje Bhagat; poet Fauji Mehr Singh; famous musician Pandit Jasraj; Param Vir Chakra awardee Hoshiar Singh; General VK Singh; General Dalbir Singh Suhag; Seth Chhajjuram who provided education to poor children; cow protector Harphool Jat; Hasan Khan Mewati; cricketer Kapil Dev; Olympic medal winner Neeraj Chopra; Saina Nehwal; Baba Ramdev; the last Hindu emperor on the throne of Delhi Hemchandra Vikramaditya; Arya Samaji Swami Umanand Saraswati; Bollywood artist Randeep Hooda; and the musician duo Jatin–Lalit, among the eminent personalities of Haryana whose pictures have been displayed.

The objective of the exhibition is to promote positive thinking in society and to convey the thoughts of great personalities to every section of people. A large number of representatives are arriving to see the exhibition. This type of exhibition creates an atmosphere of inspiration and awareness in society and inspires the youth to do positive work for the country and society.
