DEHRADUN: The one-day National Executive Council Meeting of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) concluded on November 27 in the Bhagwan Birsa Munda Nagar set up at the Parade Ground in Dehradun. The meeting commenced in the presence of ABVP’s National President Prof. Rajsharan Shahi, National General Secretary Dr. Virendra Singh Solanki, and National Organising Secretary Ashish Chauhan. The meeting was also graced by the esteemed presence of the Hon’ble Mukund C.R., Sah-Sarkaryavah of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. As per ABVP’s organisational structure, a total of 468 delegates from 46 provinces to participate in this significant meeting.

Discussions were held on major contemporary subjects such as education, society, environment, service, sports, and technology, and delegates from across the country shared their experiences regarding the extensive membership campaign conducted in this year. Detailed discussion was also held on the resolutions to be presented in the National Conference, and finally, a resolution on the theme “Youth as the Flag Bearers of Social Transformation” was passed. The action points finalised during ABVP’s Vichaar Baithak held in February–March this year in Dwarka, Gujarat, were also approved by this Executive Council.

The “Rani Abbakka Exhibition,” which became the major centre of attraction of the conference, was also inaugurated today by the Chief Guests Acharya Balkrishna, General Secretary of Patanjali Yog Trust, and Uttarakhand’s Education & Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat. The theme of the exhibition is “From Devbhoomi to Rashtra-Bhoomi – The 25-Year Journey of Uttarakhand and National Renaissance in the context of Vision 2047.”

On the occasion of the 500th birth anniversary of Rani Abbakka, the 3000-kilometre-long “Rani Abbakka Kalash Yatra,” taken out from her birthplace in Karnataka, and on the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, the “Bhagwan Birsa Sandesh Yatra,” taken out from his birthplace Ulihatu, Jharkhand, reached Bhagwan Birsa Munda Nagar today. After a grand welcome, the sacred water and soil brought along with the yatras were ceremoniously placed in the premises.

ABVP’s National President Prof. Rajsharan Shahi,“ABVP has consistently worked to bring positive change in educational, social, and other spheres. This meeting is being organised on the land known for knowledge, penance, values, and the origin of the Ganga-Yamuna, which is infusing positive energy within all of us. For the mindset of Indian youth to align with Bharatiya culture, leadership based on national values is essential, and ABVP is continuously striving in this direction.”

ABVP’s National General Secretary Dr. Virendra Singh Solanki said, “In this National Executive Council Meeting of ABVP, karyakartas from across the country deliberated on organisational and functional matters. Through this meeting and the conference, ABVP’s activism is set to gain greater momentum. The participating representatives will return to their places and, with complete determination and commitment, carry forward ABVP’s message to all educational institutions and society. With renewed energy and firm resolve, ABVP karyakartas will move ahead, and undoubtedly, student power across the nation will progress rapidly.”
