Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh: In a momentous spiritual development, the Ayodhya Ram Mandir complex witnessed the sacred Pran Pratishtha ceremony of the Ram Darbar on the temple’s first floor, accompanied by the installation of divine idols in seven other temples within the sprawling premises. This spiritually significant event, occurring on Thursday, coincided auspiciously with Ganga Dussehra and was meticulously conducted during the revered Abhijit Muhurat between 11:30 AM and 12:00 PM.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, alongside esteemed saints and revered seers, led the significant Netronmeelan (symbolic eye-opening) ritual. Following this, CM Yogi offered the first ceremonial aarti to Bhagwan Ram, marking the culmination of an elaborate three-day spiritual ceremony held at the Ram Mandir Ayodhya premises.
The Ram Mandir complex was decorated with intricate floral arrangements specially curated to mark this auspicious occasion. CM Yogi participated actively in the Ram Darbar rituals and offered prayers at all seven newly Pran Pratistha temples. Approximately one thousand dignitaries, including prominent saints and special guests, were invited to attend the sacred event, signifying its profound importance.
During his address, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath profoundly underscored Ayodhya’s spiritual and cultural legacy, stating, “Ayodhya’s identity is incomplete without Maa Saryu. This sacred Saryu River has blessed us with her presence for thousands of years, flowing through the heart of Ayodhya.” He extended heartfelt greetings on the occasion of Ganga Dussehra, the Saryu Mahotsav, and World Environment Day, further commending the city’s steadfast efforts toward environmental sustainability.
Highlighting the profound historical importance of the recent Pran Pratishtha ceremony, the Chief Minister remarked, “The consecration of Ram Lalla by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 22, 2024, brought to an end a 500-year-long wait. It unequivocally marked the beginning of a new era of India’s resurgence and spiritual awakening.”
Recalling the stark contrast of past events, CM Yogi movingly stated, “There was a time when Ram devotees were regrettably fired upon in Ayodhya. Today, these same devotees are welcomed with showers of flowers and provided clean RO drinking water, symbolizing a complete transformation.” He lauded Ayodhya’s remarkable metamorphosis into a global spiritual destination, calling it a new and vibrant interpretation of the ancient Indian ethos of Atithi Devo Bhava.
Further emphasizing environmental preservation, the Chief Minister urged citizens to plant a tree in their mother’s name, recognizing their vital contribution to nature. He also noted that the blessings of Maa Ganga have historically rendered Uttar Pradesh among the most fertile regions in the world, bolstering its agricultural prosperity.
The entire consecration ceremony adhered meticulously to ancient traditions dating back to the Treta Yuga, thereby reviving the ritual customs originally conducted by Guru Vashistha. CM Yogi symbolically performed the Tilak (coronation mark) of Bhagwan Ram, precisely mirroring these ancient rituals, further solidifying the historical connection. With its rapid pace of infrastructure and spiritual development, Ayodhya continues to emerge as a luminous beacon of India’s timeless heritage, unwavering faith, and burgeoning environmental consciousness, truly embodying a new era of glory.
