“Today’s leadership is inspired by the philosophy of Ekatma Manav Darshan,” says Cabinet Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha

Sixty years after Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay first articulated Ekatma Manav Darshan and Antyodaya at Mumbai’s Ruia College, the same venue will host the Hirak Mahotsav from April 22-25, 2025, celebrating his enduring legacy. The event will bring together national leaders, thinkers, and citizens to reflect on his visionary ideology

In April 1965, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay first presented his thoughts on Ekatma Manav Darshan and Antyodaya at Ruia College — an ideology that provided India with a unique direction rooted in soul, culture, and sustainability. Sixty years later, at the very same venue and date, the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Ekatma Manav Darshan Hirak Mahotsav will be held from April 22 to 25, 2025, as announced by Cabinet Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha during a press conference.

The festival will be inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, and will be held in the special presence of Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi. The event will also feature esteemed speakers including Maharashtra Governor C P Radhakrishnan, Union Minister Piyush Goyal, Krishna Gopal, Manmohan Vaidya, Sunil Ambekar, B L Santosh, and Suresh Soni.

“Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay introduced a distinct ideological stream into Indian politics. Through concepts like Ekatma Manav Darshan and Antyodaya, he emphasised development for the last person in the societal pyramid. Today, the influence of his ideas is evident in the leadership and work of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Across all schemes being implemented at the national and state level, Panditji’s values shine through — be it fulfilling basic needs like food, clothing, shelter, education, or citizen safety. His ideology was not just theoretical, but a roadmap for actionable, inclusive progress,” said Cabinet Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha.

The Mahotsav will host discussions on themes like geo-cultural nationalism, Bharat’s identity, reforms in public opinion, India’s development model, and Panditji’s economic thinking. Minister Lodha urged people from all walks of life to come together and participate in the event to hear and reflect on these meaningful ideas. Registrations can be done at http://www.ekatmamanavdarshan.org

The Mahotsav is being organised by the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Ekatma Manav Darshan Hirak Mahotsav Committee, with Lodha Foundation and Deendayal Shodh Sansthan as supporting institutions.

Cabinet Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha, who also serves as the Chairperson of the Mahotsav Committee, has played a key role in giving this event a state-wide dimension. Under his guidance, the Mahotsav is not only a tribute to Panditji’s memory but also a platform to initiate people-centric programs across Maharashtra inspired by his vision.
