How Congress sidelined Sardar Patel’s legacy for Nehru

The Congress party's recent declaration to revive the legacy of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in Gujarat has been met with skepticism and accusations of political opportunism. 1 Critics argue that this move, aimed at regaining political traction in the state, contradicts the party's historical treatment of Patel, particularly during Jawaharlal Nehru's era

Cracking jokes has become a part of political dialogue of the Congress leadership with people – particularly when it comes to policy decisions and their implementation. The lates joke cracked in Gujarat to find back a foothold there is the declaration that they will revive the legacy of Sardar Patel. On this sudden remembrance of Sardar any political analyst or commentator will say what a stunt and whom are they fooling! The Congress since 1946 under Nehru treated Sardar as an obstacle to the self centered politics of the dynasty that Nehru was working hard to establish at the cost of national interests and Hindus and Sikhs in particular. Sardar Patel had sacrificed   the presidentship of Congress which also meant being the Interim PM in 1946 on Gandhi’s dictates.

As a strictly disciplined Congressman he never defied the CWC or the PM and even offered his resignation when he differed with Nehru’s actions.  On the contrary, the  dynasts  adopted manipulated measures to not only remain in power but even made mockery of the constitution and best example is Indira Gandhi, not only the way she routed her opponents in Congress but the imposition of emergency and so on. This tendency is deep rooted in the DNA of the present fake Gandhi family controlling the Congress as their family fiefdom. Did Patel thought or acted so? Can this family and Congress adopt the legacy of sacrifice?

Let me take up the China policy. Sardar had warned Nehru about the Chinese danger to Bharat in November 1949 which was ignored and the results were seen in 1962! And today, the Congress party has a secret treaty with China, the contents are not even known to its president as it’s the secret of the family. Praising China in foreign countries is a routine for the dynastic prince, not to say the family having secret meetings with Chinese and that too at a time when the Galwan crisis was on! Can Rahul Gandhi read Patel’s views on China and alter the policy? Never!

It is no secret how Nehru opposed Patel on the reconstruction of Somnath temple. Congress retains the policy of Nehru – one who was Hindu by accident. One doesn’t have to repeat here their stand on Ram Mandir and the consistent insults on Hinduism. Yet, they talk of Patel today with what face?

Patel was not a communal person, but he was not for appeasement of fanatics. But the heirs of Nehru have surpassed him in siding with fanatics on not one but many issues, yet posing as champions of secularism and upholders of constitution. The most recent examples are their love for 370, opposition to UCC and the Wakf amendment. Is all this compatible to legacy of Patel? Patel had out rightly opposed 370 and Nehru’s love for the Shiek Abdullah needs no explanation. It’s the same Nehruvian policy that the Congress follows more jealously in Kashmir. Mr. Rahul it is Modi ji who has followed the legacy of Patel on Kashmir which is an eyesore for you.

The Iron Man not only integrated the nation but was opposed to anything that was divisive for national interests. He had turned upside down the British conspiracy to leave a fragmented India. What is your policy Rahul Gandhi? Talk against north when you go to south, shout for cast census, welcome and facilitate Rohingiya and Bangladeshi intruders, encourage regionalism and so on. You leave no opportunity to question the military actions against terrorists and our neighbouring terror manufacturing rouge countries. Your mother would even cry on the encounters of terrorists and your leaders seek assistance from Pakistan to overthrow a democratically elected government in Bharat. Instead of avenging the Mumbai terror attacks, ignoring the armed forces advice your leaders blamed the Hindu organizations for the massacre in Mumbai. Framing fake charges and torturing Col. Purohit and Sadhvi Pragya for years are the tools that you adopt. Is all this a part of Patel legacy? The bold Home Minister had even questioned Rajgopalachari when he spoke against the interest of the armed forces at the IMA pass out parade in Dehradun forcing in to retreat his words and your henchmen demand proof of surgical strikes and Balkot.

Every social reformer, every leader during the freedom struggle, including Patel, stood for abolishing the caste system but you along with your other I.N.D.I Alliance want to use the caste the same way the British had done when overnight they had converted the traditional professional communities into low castes; created martial races; created criminal tribes and criminal castes. Yet, you will not declare your own caste.

In you lust for power you level baseless charges calling the PM a “Chor” and your mother called him a “Maut Ka Saudagar”. But your Nehru is great who even stopped the President from attending the funeral of Patel and you and your mother wouldn’t allow the body of Narsimha Rao, you own Prime Minister at the Congress office for people to pay homage. Your Prime Minister declared that the minorities have the first right on India’s resources rather than a policy of equal rights of every Bhartiya on the resources of Bharat and this reflects your psyche. Getting a terrorist mastermind, Rana deported back to India is an eyesore for you and your ex-Chief Minister wants a lawyer and a fair trial for him. Your new recruit Kanhaiya declares this as a conspiracy of the BJP to divert issues. You go and stand by the Tukde-Tukde gang and your Salman Khurshid shouts at Shahin Bagh “Hum Lekar Rahenge Azadi”. Will the Congressmen ever get Azadi from the fake Gandhi family or keep serving this dynasty as slaves or bonded labourers? When you indulge in all such activities then what are you plotting to hide by stating Patel’s legacy?

Rahul Gandhi no financial scams flourished under Patel and one doesn’t have to reproduce here the scams the Congressmen flourish on.

The way Nehru made 27 Muslim League representatives to continue after partition in the Constituent Assembly till 1950, same is your approach to have fanatics represented even today. Your electoral gains are based on their support so much so that you and your sister had to run to Waynard to win the elections and this is what your party does all over and yet claims to be secular. You sustain the same Nehruvian policy of aligning with Muslim League which started from Kerala in 1950s. Oh yes, the parties that strive for Islamic Shariyat and rule having the terms Muslim and Islamic in their party names are secular for you but anywhere if the word Hindu comes up that is communalism. Don’t forget Rahul Gandhi that it was during the Congress regime only that Shivaji was described as a “Mountain Rat” in the NCERT book and word great remove from Maharana Pratap in Rajasthan. Would Patel do that? For you even Gandhi’s name is only a tool for inside the Parliament your party can create all disorder and outside sit and protest under Gandhi’s statue. No anti-national and that too an agent of foreign criminals would have ever found a place in the meetings or yatras of the traditional Congress leadership, even under your Dadi Indira Gandhi. Even she detested from speaking against the Janta government in foreign countries. But, the Soros agents are present in your meetings and yatra not to say of the naxalites, Khalistanis, fashionable Lutyens and Islamic fanatics.

Have you ever read Patel’s speeches, his correspondence and statements? You don’t have and can’t have even an inkling of what Patel stood for, what he did for the nation and what he envisaged for a stronger Bharat in all fields. Better first understand what Patel stood for rather than throwing a political stunt of Congress adopting his legacy. Forget inculcating the values and commitment that Patel stood for when your party has since Nehru’s time denounced him. Patel did not enmass wealth, did not open company in foreign lands, did not groom his family or children to reap political luxuries but your family has to have 3 MP’s in the Parliament. The British had the policy of divide and rule and the Congress policy have been since 1947 to rule and divide.

The Bhartiyas fully understand your statements and your actions; your opportunism and your lust for power; your hobnobbing with anti-Bhartiya foreign powers and your patronage to anti-Hindu forces. So whatsoever you may shout in Gujarat none will bother for you as they have had the experience of supporting your earlier Congress government, have the intelligence and awareness to compare and decide their own political future rather than believing your gimmicks for your own political survival.
