Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu, after casting his vote in the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections, said that this time “Kamal ka Phool” is sure to bloom in Arunachal Pradesh and the BJP will win both Lok Sabha seats.

CM Pema Khandu cast his vote for the Lok Sabha and State Assembly elections at a polling station in Tawang.

Polling for assembly elections in the north-eastern States of Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim also started on the morning of April 19, with voting for the first phase of Lok Sabha elections.

“Today is the mega festival of democracy and voting for the first phase of Lok Sabha elections is underway. I expect that the number of voters this year will surpass the number of voters in 2019. BJP is going to make history in the State. We will also win both Lok Sabha seats. In the previous election, BJP got 41 seats and we hope that this time BJP will get 60 out of 60 seats,” he said.

“This time the lotus flower is sure to bloom in Arunachal Pradesh,” CM Pema Khandu added.

Further, the Arunachal CM emphasised that people are moving forward with the politics of the performance of the BJP.

“I toured both the Lok Sabha seats and after interacting with the people I saw that people are very happy with PM Modi. Everyone will thank Modi ji by making both the candidates win,” he said.

Arunachal Pradesh West: Nabam Tuki (Congress) is facing Kiren Rijiju (BJP), and in Arunachal Pradesh East, Bosiram Siram (Congress) is in the fray against Tapir Gao (BJP). Apart from Arunachal, Sikkim will vote for 32 assembly seats and a lone Lok Sabha seat.

The polls to elect the 543 members of the 18th Lok Sabha are underway. The results will be declared on June 4.
