What do you do when someone forcibly enters your house? What will you do when he comes in your house and makes full use of your resources? Not only this, but what should you do if that person disturbs the family, creates a ruckus, or even attacks you? These are all questions for those who are supporting the Rohingyas who have trespassed in India. Sometimes, they see this entire episode linked to the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), and sometimes, they talk about the Indian Government treating the Rohingyas at par with the refugees from Tibet and Sri Lanka. But amidst all this, they forget to consider -whether those people should be given citizenship in India, who committed atrocities against the majority community in their own country Myanmar. As a result, peace-loving Buddhists were forced to resort to violence.
Let us understand the chronology of events – There was military rule in Burma from 1962 to 2011, during which these Rohingya Muslims remained silent. But as soon as democracy was restored in this country, they started protesting on the streets, harassing the local majority Buddhist community, even raping women, targeting the police and army. The situation in Myanmar had become so chaotic that the majority of Buddhists, devotees of peace, initially got scared of Rohingyas. When atrocities did not stop then, these Buddhists also left the path of peace to save their existence. In the year 2012, a Buddhist girl was raped and murdered; this incident enraged all the Buddhists so much that they started fighting the Rohingyas from the front.
Meanwhile, the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA), armed terrorists Rohingyas attacked military posts on the Bangladesh-Myanmar border in October 2016, killing nine border officers and four soldiers. On August 25, 2017, the same terrorist organisation attacked 30 police posts and army bases, resulting in the death of 12 security personnel. When the Myanmar army took over the area dominated earlier by Rohingyas, mass graves of Hindus and Buddhists were found there, and the whole world came to know for the first time how deceitful and cruel these Rohingyas are.
Many media reports have come so far; even ‘Amnesty International’ has talked to the people tortured by the Rohingyas. On the basis of the evidence collected, this international organisation found that these Rohingyas also committed terrible atrocities on the Hindus living there as a minority. Rohingya militants accused Hindus living in the Rakhine state of supporting Myanmar’s Buddhist Government and aiding the Government against their separatist ideology. Amnesty found in its investigation that Rohingya Muslim terrorists had massacred 99 Hindus in Myanmar in the year 2017. Hindu children, women and men were killed and buried in mass graves.
Amnesty International’s report says masked Rohingya Muslim terrorists entered the village early in the morning, surrounded Hindu women, children and men and looted their houses. After this, the men were separated first and massacred. The bodies of these killed Hindus were later found in a mass grave. During this period, Rohingya Muslims released some women only after they were converted to Islam. Everyone else was killed and buried. The testimony of these eight women, who saved their lives by accepting the condition of forcible conversion to Islam, is also present today to understand the horror created by Rohingyas. The investigation has also revealed that apart from this, Rohingya terrorists had targeted minority Hindus on many other occasions.
When atrocities by Rohingyas started increasing in Myanmar, the Government implemented many strict laws for its countrymen, including marriage, family planning, freedom of movement, employment, education, religious choice, etc. In which these Rohingyas could not fit in and started migrating from here. First of all, they started entering India illegally. Many reached Bangladesh. The Rohingya refugee camps are in the Chittagong region of Bangladesh, which is notorious for Islamic extremism and separatist activities. In the past, terrorists from the North East had taken shelter in the region before and after terrorist attacks in India. The links of Aqa-ul-Mujahideen, a terrorist organisation of Rohingya Muslims, with Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Toiba have been exposed in Pakistan. There are also reports that Rohingyas living illegally in Jammu had helped Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorists regarding the location of the army camp in Sanjuwan. Based on the information, JeM attacked the army camp, in which six Indian soldiers were martyred. Till now, many incidents have come to light in different States of India in which it has been found that how these Rohingya Muslims are involved in crimes.
At present there is no State left in India where there is no infiltration. Not much time has passed since the riots in Mewat (Nuh) of Haryana adjacent to Delhi, Haldwani of Uttarakhand and Banbhulpura area, the involvement of Rohingya Muslims in these violent riots has come to light. According to media reports, about 5,000 Rohingya Muslims and other outsiders live in the Banbhulpura area. The Rohingyas, who entered India via Bangladesh, have continued to build their illegal settlements in both the plains and hills of India and Nepal. Violence, rape, and looting has increased in the country’s capital Delhi, adjacent Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Tripura, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Kerala, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jammu-Kashmir, Karnataka and other States. Their involvement in many criminal activities like drug supply, etc., has come to light in many cases. Still, there is no dearth of such people in India who are advocating for these criminal Rohingyas in the name of human rights. They are even filing a petition in the Supreme Court to permanently settle them in India and are putting the Government of India in the dock.
In this regard, the response given by the Modi Government in the centre on the petition of Priyali Sur, who went to the Supreme Court for the release of the captured Rohingyas, is certainly a welcome step. Today, the Union Government has made it clear that those entering India illegally will be dealt with as per the provisions of the Foreigners Act. Rohingyas have come to India illegally and have made fake identity cards like Aadhaar and Voter IDs in large numbers. There is credible information that they are involved in serious criminal activities across the country, including human trafficking, and are a serious threat to internal and national security. The Government has again clarified that a foreigner has the right to life and liberty under Article 21 of the Indian Constitution. He/she does not have the right to live and settle in the country. This right is available only to Indian citizens. Along with this, it is also worth noting that India does not recognise the UNHCR refugee card, which some Rohingya Muslims have acquired, thinking that on this basis, they will get refugee status in India.
Not only this, the Union Government has also made it clear that India is already facing the serious problem of infiltration by a large number of Bangladeshis. Bangladeshi infiltrators have changed the demography of some border States (Assam and West Bengal). Modi Government has cited many Supreme Court decisions in its affidavit. At the same time, the Government has also told the court that there is a limit to the powers of the Supreme Court and that it cannot undermine the powers of the Parliament by crossing that limit. The Judiciary has no right to create a separate category to grant refugee status to those who enter India illegally by entering into the legislative and policy spheres of Parliament and the Executive. It must be said that this clear decision of the Union Government shows the Government’s commitment to protect national security interests amidst the challenges posed by illegal migration. People like Piyali Sur must understand we are a nation with 140 million people; how can we allow any trespassing so all these Rohingyas must be deported at the earliest as per the law of the land and let Indians live in peace.
