Initially, Prasar Bharati, the parent organisation of Doordarshan will broadcast the “Mangala aarti” from Ayodhya for a few months. This broadcast will allow the devotees across the country to participate in the sacred ritual; of morning prayers offered to the Ram Lalla murti every day from the comfort of their homes.

On March 11, in a post shared on X, Doordarshan announced that “DD National” will be doing the live telecast of the ‘aarti’ offered to Ram Lalla every morning which will begin from 6:30 am.

Anurag Thakur, Union Information and Broadcasting Minister, later posted on X that considering the deep-rooted immense faith of Ram Lalla devotees, Prasar Bharati has initiated this process.

As the news spread, excitement rippled through households, temples, and communities nationwide. The ‘aarti,’ which is considered to be a deeply symbolic ritual of offering light to the divine God has profound significance for all devotees through which people showcase gratitude and spiritual connection.

Doordarshan’s technical teams, in collaboration with local authorities and religious leaders, will work tirelessly to ensure seamless transmission from Ayodhya. Cutting-edge equipment will be deployed, and every detail will be meticulously scrutinized to organize the event daily to reach audiences far and wide.

By broadcasting the ‘aarti’ live on television, Doordarshan makes it accessible to a wide audience, including those devotees who may not be physically present and visit Ayodhya in person. This allows devotees from all corners of the country to partake in the spiritual experience and enjoy the blissful scene. Moreover, the live broadcast will foster a sense of connection and unity among devotees no matter what their geographical boundary is. It will allow them to join together in prayer and devotion, which will ultimately strengthen their bond with the divine.

Also, watching the ‘aarti’ on television will offer devotees the convenience of experiencing the sacred ritual without having to travel to the crowded spaces. It will be cost-effective too. They can participate from the comfort of their homes without incurring any additional monetary expense.

Above all, for many devotees witnessing the ‘aarti’ ceremony of Ram Lalla will hold deep spiritual significance. The broadcast will allow them to engage in this sacred practice which will inculcate a sense of fulfillment and connection.
