In the final phase of the construction of the magnificent Ram Temple in Ayodhya, the grand inauguration is set to take place on January 22, 2024. The much-awaited event will mark the consecration of the idol of Ram Lalla in the temple. Following this historic moment, a year-long celebration program has been initiated, with a special emphasis on an annual city procession.

New regulations for the worship of Ram Lalla

In preparation for the worship of Ram Lalla, a set of new regulations has been formulated. The temple management has released an annual festival calendar, outlining the various events and celebrations scheduled throughout the year. The regulations include guidelines for daily rituals, offerings, and worship ceremonies, ensuring a structured and devotional approach to the worship of Bhagwan Ram.

Diverse festivals planned throughout the year

The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirth Kshetra Trust’s Treasurer, Govind Devgiri, revealed that the Ram Temple will host more than a dozen festivals throughout the year. These festivals will include celebrations for Ram Navami, Jhulan Utsav, Diwali, Vivah Panchami, and Makar Sankranti. The diverse range of festivals aims to engage devotees in year-round spiritual and cultural activities.

Bhagwan Ram to grace the Temple in Royal Form

Govind Devgiri announced that the idol of Ram Lalla in the Ram Temple will be adorned in the form of Rajkumar (Prince) during the daily rituals. The worship protocols will incorporate Rajopachar, Shodashopachara, and Agamokta paddhatis, enhancing the spiritual experience for devotees. The decision to depict Bhagwan Ram as a prince has been made in consultation with prominent saints of the Ramanand Sampradaya, ensuring consensus on the new worship guidelines.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s visit to Ayodhya

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is scheduled to visit Ayodhya on November 24, 2023, just ahead of the consecration ceremony. During his visit, he will participate in a special ceremony at the BhaktMal Mandir, where Bhagwan Ram and Goddess Janaki will be adorned with a golden crown, chhatra, and chandrika. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is expected to join the saints in a spiritual gathering at the temple.

Anticipation grows as Ayodhya gears up for historic occasion

As Ayodhya enters the final stages of the Ram Temple construction, the city is buzzing with excitement and anticipation for the grand inauguration on January 22, 2024. The meticulously planned year-long celebration program promises a continuous stream of festivals and rituals, creating a vibrant atmosphere of devotion and cultural richness in the sacred city of Ayodhya. The new worship guidelines and the depiction of Bhagwan Ram in his princely form add a unique dimension to the spiritual experience for the devotees, making the upcoming events at the Ram Temple truly historic and significant. The visit of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath further highlights the political and cultural importance of this momentous occasion. Ayodhya stands poised to witness a celebration that not only marks the completion of a monumental temple but also fosters a renewed sense of unity and spiritual fervour among the people.
