Anurag Thakur, while speaking to the media, said that under the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra,’ a resolution has to be taken to make India a developed nation by 2025.

Earlier, the Union Minister participated in the Bharatiya Janata Party district meeting related to the yatra and also issued necessary guidelines to the party officials to make it successful.

Anurag Thakur said that the information about the schemes of the Union Government will reach every citizen and this journey will be successful.

The campaign was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 15 at Khunti, Jharkhand and gained momentum after it was rolled out in the remote villages of Arunachal’s Tawang and Jammu Kashmir’s Rajouri district.

The largest-ever outreach initiative of the Centre was launched at Tawang, bordering China, with locals from a village in the district pledging allegiance to the outreach and taking the transformative ‘Sankalp Pledge’.

Similarly, In Jammu & Kashmir, the yatra was flagged off from Budhal, Rajouri Gurez and Bandipora on November 15, where the locals, along with Panchayati Raj institutions and Government officials, attended the launch function.

As per the official release from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the first day of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra reached more than one lakh people across 259 Gram Panchayats in the country.

The initiative is set to expand its reach, covering all districts from November 2023 to January 2024. The yatra’s overarching goal is to deliver essential services to all eligible Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yats, ranging from sanitation facilities, financial services, electricity connections, housing for the underprivileged, food security, nutrition, healthcare, clean drinking water, and quality education, with a focus on creating awareness and ensuring the last-mile delivery of benefits.
