Islam allows men to have three wives but this man from Uttar Pradesh’s Shamli already has five wives and now abducted a sixth girl, when the victim’s family lodged an FIR against he said, “Will take your other daughter with me”. Both these girls are Hindu.

The accused man not only abducted this 19-year-old woman but also converted her to Islam and also got married to her as per Islamic rituals. After the incident came to light the Hindu activists including Swami Yashvir Singh with local Bajrang Dal activists, protested outside the police station and also demanded strict action against the culprits.

The woman is still with the accused, the local activists presented a memorandum demanding the recovery of the girl before June 22 or else they will stage a widespread protest in the village.

Soon after this the aggrieved family lodged a missing person’s report. After learning that the victim’s family has lodged a complaint the accused called them and threatened saying, “If his name from the FIR is not removed in time he will take away their other daughter as well”.

Notably, after the police failed to recover the woman, the family reached the ashram of Swami Yashveer Singh, in Beghra which falls under the Muzaffarnagar district of UP.

After this, the Swami ji informed the local Hindu activists and soon they reached the police station and staged a protest. The activists said, if the police fail to recover the girl by June 22, they will stage a wide protest and also, the strike will continue for an indefinite time.

The activists during the protests said, the accused man has five wives and that out of five of his wives, only one is a Muslim and that the other four are Hindus. This shows that the man intentionally targets Hindu women for conversion and then leaves them to target another one.

The accused Rashid has a number of cases registered in his name at the Chaprauli police station.

A few days back a similar case was reported from the Hapur district of Uttar Pradesh. The accused man identified as Waseem, first raped a Hindu woman and later converted her to Islam and had ‘Nikah’. The accused did not stop here as multiple men of his family also raped the women.

Notably, after this the woman reached the police for help, both the accused Waseem and his father are employees of the Delhi police.

Waseem first raped the woman, and later started blackmailing her saying he will kill her brother after she converted and had nikah, his family members tried raping her. The accused also threatened to chop her into 35 pieces like Delhi’s Shraddha Walker.

Organiser reported a case from Bareilly where a minor Hindu girl was abducted and raped by 50-year-old Shah Alam, Irfan and Nadeem. As per the FIR (Number—152/2023) the complainant, Deepak Patel, the victim’s brother told the police that, on 6 June around 10 am Ankita left home to bring the stitched blouse of her mother from the tailor’s house. When she did not return, they checked the tailor’s house, she was missing.

Following the abduction, the accused took the minor to Kashipur, Uttarakhand kept her in his captivity and raped her. After raping her multiple times, Alam called his friend, Irfan, he also raped her. Later they took her to Noida where Nadeem Qureshi again raped her. Soon, they took the minor back to Kashipur, it was then the police tracked them through surveillance.

Also, on June 4, the Uttar Pradesh police arrested a man identified as Shil Kumar from a village in Shravasti under charges of rape and murder. The victim is a 11-year-old Hindu girl, who was raped and murdered by the accused.

The victim’s family claimed that the accused is a Muslim man identified as Muzaffar Ali son of Farooq Ali and that he is a Rohingya Muslim.

A First Information Report (number–107/2023) was registered at the Gilaula police station of the Shravasti district on June 3, 2023.
