Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) informed Kerala High Court on January 12, 2023, that the 1994 espionage case was false and scientist Nambi Narayanan’s arrest was illegal. Here is the summary of the CBI statement:

The ISRO espionage case of 1994 was false, and its scientist Nambi Narayanan’s arrest was illegal.

Nambi’s arrest came close on the heels of the ‘false’ case. CBI’s statement was filed when High Court was considering the bail application of the accused police officers.

CBI added that since the espionage case was fake, national security was involved in it, and foreign powers were linked with it, obviously a conspiracy. It was to fabricate cases against eminent ISRO scientists.

Now, it looks like the conspiracy was to stop Bharat from attaining scientific achievements in cryogenic technology. If this argument is true, it is a serious issue of paramount importance. The cases against the police officers are expected to expose the conspiracy, if there is any.
