Crocodile tears are being shed by PFI sympathisers. Anti-national forces are making a lot of hue and cry about the recent arrests of PFI leaders from across the country.
The president of now banned Popular Front of India’s (PFI) Tamil Nadu unit, Mohammed Shaik Ansari, said in a statement that the organisation would legally fight the ban.
The SDPI, which did not come under the list of outlawed outfits, said the ban on PFI and allied organisation was a “challenge” against Indian democracy and the rights guaranteed to the people of the country by its Constitution.
The Communist Party of India (Maoist) has condemned the ban on the PFI and eight organisations affiliated to it and described the “fascist” BJP government’s decision to put a pan-India ban on PFI for five years as “Draconian and anti-democratic”. It accused, in a release, that the decision was an integral part of the Hindutva agenda and the Brahmanical Hindutva BJP had once against criminalised the Muslim community through the ban.
Naam Tamilar Katchi chief coordinator Seeman said the actions of Central agencies against PFI and SDPI are retributive in nature since these organisations are consistently speaking up against religious polarization n the country. Dalit political outfit, Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK), Thol Thirumavalavan, also issued a statement opposing the ban on PFI, saying that the ‘RSS, the ideological arm of BJP, should also be banned’. Both Thirmavalavan a rabid Hindu hater and Seeman, a habitual make believe liar and kown for his inconsistent rhetoric, wanted the ban should be revoked as these organisations are social, democratic ones and doing yeoman service to their community. They are innocent people and never indulged any violence or anti-national activities. DMK and other allies have also condemned the Centre and giving clean chit to the PFI, SDPI.
BJP leader H Raja said Seeman is associated with Yashin Malik, who had confessed to killing 24 Hindus in Kashmir. He said that acing in support of the banned PFI is a criminal offence and the DMK government should arrest Thirumavalavan and Seeman by referring them as anti-national pro-terrorist elements in the state. He also appealed to the government not to grant permission for the 11th October Human chain protest, which is to be organised in support of PFI. In this, Congress, MDMK, VCK, left, muslim outfits are taking part.
But the dossier gleaned by agencies like IB throw more lights the reason behind the action of Home Ministry. We give excerpts from a confidential document accessed by Organiser for the benefit of our readers. “ PFI and some of its like-minded organisations termed it as selective targeting of Muslim leadership in India. Given the nature of accusation, it is important to look at the seizures made from those arrested and the revelation by law enforcement agencies, as it may give an insight into the nature of activities being carried out by the arrested leaders”.
The law enforcement agencies recovered hundreds of incriminating materials from the hideouts of the accused. It also included a brochure and CD related to Mission 2047 (document containing material for converting India into an Islamic State). ED in its remand report of Kannur native Shafi Payath to the court said that the PFI tried to attack the PM Modi rally on July 12 at Patna. NIA has also stated that during nationwide raids conducted at PFI leaders and offices, highly incriminating documents were seized. The probe agency also stated that during investigation, it was found that PFI motivated Muslim youths to join terrorist groups including Lashkar e Taiba, Islamic State and Al-Qaeda. High-end communication devices were recovered from one PFI operative Barakatullah in Tamilnadu, which were being used for deep sea navigation, avoiding the detection of coastguard and law enforcement agencies.
“PFI has a long history of claiming victimization even at the drop of a hat. However, the violence orchestrated by its leaders and cadres post arrest of its leaders exposed the violent tendencies of the organisation and proved to the public that arrests were made in the right direction”.
Southern states, especially states like Kerala and Tamil Nadu where PFI has considerable presence, witnessed a spate of violence in the aftermath of arrest of PFI leaders. Many members of PFI engaged in violence including throwing petrol bombs and arson in several places in Tamil Nadu and Kerala in protest against the action by NIA. PFI damaged many government and private vehicles, hurled petrol bombs at several houses and held road blockades, creating inconvenience to the public. More than 20 PFI/SDPI cadres have been arrested in Tamil Nadu for the violent acts after the arrest of its leaders. Similarly, in Kerala, more than PFI /SDPI cadres were detained for indulging in violence after the arrest of its leaders.
OMA Salam, PFI Chairman is presently under suspension from his department Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) and undergoing departmental enquiry for his unauthorized travel abroad and also holding the post of PFI Chairman while being a government employee. A diary recovered by ED from Salam’s close associate M. Mohammed Ismail revealed about a dark, sinister plot of PFI and Salam to create a civil war like situation in India. Nazarudheen Ealamaram, National Secretary of PFI has ten cases registered against him under different sections since 2009. P Koya, National executive Council member of PFI was a committed SIMI leader and an Ansar during 1978-79. He was also involved in creating a divide between Gujjars and Malis of Rajasthan. He along with EM Abdul Rahiman, vice president of PFI was privately hosted by IHH, an Al-Qaida linked Turkish charity organization. EM Abdul Rahman was the All India General Secretary of SIMI in 1984 and was also associated with Karuna Foundation, a pro-SIMI organization. Anis Ahmed, General Secretary of PFI openly supported and praised Hamas, an international terrorist organization. The list is long. It will take at least dozens of pages just to describe the criminal past of PFI leadership. The point is- most of the PFI leaders have a dark past filled with hate for the country and its establishments. All they want is the implementation of their own ideology at any cost. They have no concern for the common Muslims.
Recommending a ban, it says “Questions are arising from every quarter about the evil intention of PFI leaders, who were planning to destabilise the nation. Those claiming victimization and Islamophobia must give judgments on the basis of the outcome of the raids and investigation, rather than giving knee-jerk response. The only solution to save the country from the sinister plots of the PFI is to ban it.
“CFI, PFI and its affiliates are changing their nomenclature to escape from the ban and UAPA act provisions. In Madurai, facebook account of Campus Front of India has become Madurai Students and a new outfit has been floated in Coimbatore in lieu of PFI. They have the tacit support of Dravidian stock Muslim appeasement government to further their activities” say Praveen of Chennai”.
