The forthcoming visit of the British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been cancelled again as Covid-19 cases are rising rapidly in the country.

Earlier, the prime minister was to visit Bharat in January as the chief guest of the Republic Day celebrations.
The last visit was also cancelled because of Covid-19.

Now, there will be a virtual meeting between the two prime ministers.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Portugal and France has also been cancelled.

The latest wave of the Covid-19 is putting a lot of strain on the resources. The new cases are numbering around 300000 per day.

Prime Minister Modi announced a slew of measures Monday to contain the spread of the virus.

All above 18 will be eligible for vaccination May 1 onwards. Also, the government is putting special emphasis on ramping up the production of vaccines and Covid-19 related medicines.
