The perverted JNU mindset cannot understand the missionary zeal of the people who have dedicated their entire life to uplift the north-east children. The Outlook story represents the same mindset

The cover story of Outlook (issue dated August 8, 2016), tilted 'Operation Baby Lift' by Neha Dixit is the classic example of perverted mindset being shaped by JNU. The Congress had outsourced this task to them on a silver platter for the last 60 years. A number of pseudo intellectuals were given honorary posts on the pre-condition of defaming the Hindutva movement (as the Congress seriously lacked this capability). With the anti-national activities in JNU campus now getting exposed, these people have become so restive that they can go to any extent to defame the Hindutva movement. This Outlook story is the classic example of it.

Proud students of Sevika Samiti hostels

  • Pushpa from Mizoram studied at Ahalya Mandir hostel in Nagpur. Now she has started her own school in her area
  • Agui, student of Sevika Samiti hostel in Nagpur, is from Haflong and is now Principal of Haflong Vidya Bharati School. After Kokrajhar riots she led a youth delegation to meet then President of India Smt Pratibha Patil and Home Minister P Chidambaram to aprise them of the ground reality of Assam
  • Abola, also a student of Samiti hostel, completed nursing training and now takes care of public health in Purvanchal
  • Jadoi from Karbianglong educates people about importance of education in Vanvasi areas.

Rashtra Sevika Samiti has been continuously bringing the deprived students from North East to other states of India for the purpose of education and sent them back empowered enough to their respective places to carve out their own space. The Outlook story has made a serious accusation of “Human Trafficking” on the Sevika Samiti.  Their accusation is based on doctored interviews of some ignorant parents, expressing concern over ‘Hinduising’ these girls. What a serious concern? Neha would have done a great service had she gathered information about the arrival of Christian Missionaries in this region and the methods they adopted to convert the innocent people of north-east to their religion.
The same missionaries along with these perverted intellectuals have been propagating to the North Eastern minds that “India is not a nation but a multinational state”. On the other hand, not only the Samiti, but many other organisations associated with the Sangh are engaged in conveying to the people of north-east that they are Indians and their culture and traditions are same as those of other Hindus in the country. The RSS and its associated organisations have been doing this work relentlessly for years. People like Padmanabh Acharya, Satish Velankar, Sunita Haldekar have traversed this region for decades and set up a wide network of service activities. The RK Mission has set up a huge school at Cherrapunjee since 1962. Jeevan-Vratis (full timers) of Vivekananda Kendra have been working in this region. The recent change of government in Assam is the result of the positive response of the people to these service activities. The report published in Outlook seems to be a direct response to this realisation and fetch a larger conspiracy to demoralise these workers and defame their activities.
Dear Neha, you claim to be a hard core journalist. While trying to find out the number of students who are sent to other states of India from North East region, have you ever tried to understand the inspiration behind this activity of sending these children for education (or for conversion, according to you)? Find out who started this work and what these students are doing after completing their studies? An RSS Swayamsevak, now Governor of Assam Padmanabh Acharya was the man who started the Students Experience in Inter-state Living (SEIL) project of ABVP 50 years ago! The nationalist activities of RSS and its inspired organisations have always received the support of the leaders cutting across party and ideological affiliations. Pratap Singh Rane, Prafulla Kumar Mahanta, P A Sangma, Dr Kalam, Navin Ptanayak, Chandrasekhar and many such leaders have supported the activities of SEIL. Many students from North-East have stayed in the houses in rest of India and carried with them the message of unity and integrity. Former Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh Gegong Apang was one such student. He stayed in Maharashtra and completed his education. You should present the 'misdeeds' of RSS, ABVP, and Samiti to Gegong Apang who remained the Chief Minister for 20 years and print what he would say in response!!
To make arrangements for the stay and education of these students in the hostels located in various states and providing local guardians to them is the next step of this SEIL programme.
Tasile Zeliang is from Nagaland. She studied in Nagpur living in Samiti hostel. She got gold medal in her M A exam. She returned to her state and is now Principal of a school at Jaluki, Nagaland. She is now compiling Naga folk tales. She is spreading the nationalist thoughts. And this is the basic reason of annoyance for the leftists' ‘intellectuals’ and ‘journalists’ like you.
Neha, India is one because of the missionary work done by these nameless, faceless workers. The flame of unity is alive throughout the country because of these workers, not because of the great intellectual sermons of people like Madam Menon and you.
Sudhir Phadke, popularly known as Babuji, was one of the prominent music composers of Maharashtra. He was an ‘untouchable’ for people like you just because he was a ‘Savarkar Bhakt'. One Leki Funtso from Arunachal Pradesh came and lived in his house 40 years ago under this SEIL programme. The Phadkes loved him like their son. He stayed in their house as next brother of Shridhar, their elder son. All the details are available in his autobiography Jagachya Pathivar. He is now an officer in Arunachal Pradesh. He still cherishes his relations with them and continues to convey the message of national integration to the next generations.  So, Sister Neha, hope you will file a legal suit with the charges of ‘human trafficking’ on all of us, including Babuji, for this national work.
