Intro : The Communist conspiracy to tarnish PM Modi through a college magazine was thwarted by the firm stand taken by a press owner.
Students’ Federation of India (SFI), CPI (M)’s student wing, is once again in its mud-slinging spree. Once again they played the same old strategy of defaming their political opponents as they found themselves failed to confront them ideologically and organisationally. And, they are not ashamed to misuse their official and statutory tools for these evil motives. The latest plot they have adopted for this deplorable action is a college magazine, Puram Modi, of Maharaja’s Technical Institute (MTI) in Thrissur, Kerala. The magazine depicted Honourable Prime Minister of Bharat, Shri Narendra Modi as one among the top ten criminals of the world. But, after noticing the defamatory remarks against Shri Narendra Modi, the owner of the printing press refused to hand over the copies to the SFI’s office bearers. But, the SFI workers turned up in arms against the press owner
and demanded the copies. Still the printer opted to stick on to his gun.
College authorities had refused to release funds for the magazine in view of this anomaly; but the SFI workers were adamant to release it even at the cost of their own funds. That is how they got into this dirty politics. As they could not get the copies from the printer they made a few black and white copies of the same from the CD they do have and distributed them to mark their protest.
Organiser spoke to Shri James, the printer. He said that students’ union office bearers came to him to assign the job and they gave him the CD of the complete PDF files of the magazine. He accepted it in good faith and started printing. But, when the employees there met with some technical problem, James happened to see the derogatory reference to the PM; he stopped printing immediately. He told the SFI workers that Shri Narendra Modi is democratically elected PM of the country. He told them that he cannot associate with the work of magazine which is full of defamatory remarks about the Prime Minister. Shri Narendra Modi is not merely BJP’s PM, but the PM of Bharat. He did not like to get involved in legal entanglement. Despite the SFI workers’ aggressive posture, he has not released the copies of the magazine yet. When he contacted the district leaders of CPI (M), they maintained that they were with the stand taken by SFI; but, they added that to release or not to release the copies to students was his own discretion.
SFI leaders, when contacted, told Organiser that they would go ahead with the release at any cost. Since they already set a date for the magazine release, they are thinking about legal action against the press owner for not handing over the completed printed materials.
ABVP has demanded legal action against the people responsible for this magazine as they have tried to defame the elected PM of the country who is respected worldwide. ABVP said that SFI, al-Qaida and IS terrorists speak in the same language.
BJP has also protested against this sort defamation politics. It is reported that the entire magazine is devoted to mud-slinging against Sangh associated organisations.
Last year when a Polytechnic Institute in Kunnamkulam, again in Thrissur district, released their college magazine with hate remarks on Shri Modi that triggered protests throughout the state, Principal and college authorities refused to permit the release hence the culprits could not go ahead. The SFI led Students’ Union had to withdraw the controversial magazine. This time ABVP candidate has won the seat of magazine editor in that institute. It looks like a sweet revenge.
This MTI Thrissur incident is the part of the larger CPI (M) conspiracy. They are worried about the growing political clout BJP is gaining in the State and the popularity of ABVP in the Kerala campuses. What they are perpetrating is violent clashes so that they can isolate the Sangh associated organisations in the society. During the early weeks of this academic year the SFI activists played CDs of the demolition of the disputed structure in Ayodhya in law college campuses in the State. Again the aim was to unleash communal clashes in the campuses in Kerala. The Sangh associated organisations are very much aware of this sinister conspiracy. —T Satisan from Kerala
