Amnesty International & India Playbook: FCRA, Art 370, Delhi riots & CJP Protest — The agenda behind human rights label

Dissecting the historical footprint's of Amnesty International in India reveals how it intruded into India's domestic affairs, breached sovereignty and violated FCRA regulations for illicit deeds. It systematically orchestrated anti-India network under the veil of human rights advocacy by commenting falsely on J&K, abolition of article 370, 2020 Delhi riots and the latest CJP protests

A deep dive into Amnesty International’s history and decades of footprints in India, dissects a clear hidden agenda, that speaks much beyond an NGO activity and officially declared humanitarian causes. The infamous legacy of Amnesty International in India unveils its real face, as a probable tool of CIA, Pentagon or other anti-India shadow netowrk. The NGO has apparently & repeatedly intruded in the domestic affairs and democratic ethos of India under the veil of developmental activities and humanitarian causes.

Government of India(GoI) freezed the bank accounts and assets of Amnesty International in India in 2020, vowing to FCRA violations and other masked activities that were antithetical to sovereignty, territorial integrity, political stability and democratic fabric of India. As an impact, the London-based NGO halted operations in the country. However, its latest statements regarding the Cockroach Janata Party(CJP) protest in India is completely fabricated, false, echoes a hidden motive and is a clear breach of India’s sovreignty.

Amnesty’s interventions in politically sensitive internal affairs, disproportionate support to CJP protest and false accusations on the government & police, has yet again resurfaced the scrutiny reagrding the funding source, affiliation and dark faces behind the organisation, declared to be an NGO. The controversies raise questions about foreign funding, national sovereignty and the credibility of so called human rights activities and investigations.

Foreign funding, evasion of govt radar & FCRA violations

Amnesty International India’s funding arrangements have attracted investigations by ED, CBI and Indian agencies over violations of the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA). In 2019, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) initiated an investigation into financial irregularities. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) subsequently registered a case following a complaint by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), regarding the matter that Amnesty used commercial entities to circumvent restrictions on foreign contributions. This is a clear evation of legal procedures to recieve foreign contributions to accelerate activities in India.

According to CBI sources, Amnesty’s Indian entities received approximately ₹36 crore from Amnesty International UK through Amnesty International India Pvt Ltd (AIIPL). Other accounts cited approximately ₹46 crore in foreign contributions, alongside a separate ₹10 crore investment by Amnesty UK in AIIPL through debentures, classified as foreign direct investment (FDI). The huge foreign funding was apparently redirected to activities beyond the declared humanitarian causes. Amnesty International is said to have acted as a mere mouthpiece of foreign agencies, to seek political gains.

All these so called global organisations like Amnesty international have always been an eye wash… their main purpose is to spread unrest and disharmony in India.

The MHA reported that the investment was made without the requisite approval and that funds were used to support activities associated with Amnesty’s Indian trusts. The ED also froze bank accounts and attached properties linked to Amnesty India over financial irregularities and unauthorised foreign remittances.

Amnesty’s case, raised questions about its financial arrangements and compliance with India’s regulatory framework. Foreign-funded organisations, irrespective of their international standing, remain subject to applicable Indian laws.

Article 370, J&K sovereignty & 2020 Delhi riots: Amnesty’s propaganda exposed

Apart from illegal funding sources & FCRA violation, Amnesty’s reporting on Jammu & Kashmir(J&K), abolition of Article 370, February 2020 Delhi riots is also a clear breach of India’s sovereignty and is a intrusion into country’s domestic affairs. The reports and documents published by the Amnesty International is provocative, false, picturises a propaganda and is a threat to the country’s democratic establishment or political stability. The reports on sensitive issues intends to manipulate the public and send wrong message about the governance architecture, political accountability etc.

For example, the Amnesty International, during the 2020 Delhi Riots, accused Delhi Police of failing to protect citizens and complicity in violence against Muslims. These separatist claims, on politically sensitive issues, reflects the immaturity of the organisation, as such statements might trigger emotions and communal violence. However, the hidden hands behind Amnesty, aims for such violence, instability in India, to cook their political deeds.

A separate controversy emerged when Aakar Patel, Amnesty International India’s former Executive Director, called for protests comparable to those following George Floyd’s death in the United States. His remarks, which identified Dalits, Muslims, Adivasis, women and economically disadvantaged people as potential participants was threatful to India’s law & order, peace and stability. These were clearly violation of India’s sovereignty. These sectarian or seperatist statements was an attempt to trigger public dissent, unrest, hatred & instability in the country.

These interventions intensified scrutiny over the boundary between human rights advocacy and domestic political mobilisation to fulfill illicit agenda. Amnesty’s approach to India’s sensitive political and security issues came under radar.

CJP protest: Amnesty’s fake claims against Delhi Police

Despite halting its operations in India, Amnesty’s illicit intrusion into India’s domestic affairs and peddling of anti-India narratives has not stopped. During the CJP protest, Amnesty has aimed to manipulate the facts, peddle fake narratives and defame Indian governance, democracy in the global stage.

The organisation said its Evidence Lab examined witness testimony and visual material, verifying 17 videos filmed in central Delhi on July 20 and two recorded in Siwan, Bihar, on July 24. Amnesty alleged that the security personnel used pellet-firing shotguns, tear gas grenades, lathis and electric shock devices against protesters. It also claimed that an officer in Siwan fired an AK-type rifle towards a crowd. However, Delhi Police has slammed and denied allegations as fake.

The reports by Amnesty is an exxageration of the events and reflects selective hearing or selective ignorance. It outrightly maintains silence on protestor’s attack on police personnel and other violent actions.

Moreover, Amnesty demands the release of the CJP protestors when they were detained. This is yet again, a clear intrusion into India’s domestic affairs. The organisation also labbeled CJP protestors as “peaceful protestors”. These statements testify a clear fake narrative network, despite witnessing the massive violence escalated by the Cockroach Party.

India has a legitimate interest in enforcing its FCRA framework and scrutinising foreign-funded organisations. It is in the interest of national security, law & order stability and ensuring zero foreign interference in sovereign matters. Domestic socio-political problems should not be hijacked and manipulated by foreign entities for illicit gains.

Ultimately, Amnesty’s funding arrangements must withstand India’s regulatory scrutiny, comply with FCRA framework and its fake allegations against the police must withstand evidentiary examination. National sovereignty and the rule of law are best protected when international organisations are accountable to sovereign procedures. Amnesty International should introspect its deeds in India, before peddling fake narratives about the domestic affairs, sowing seeds of communal hatred and systematically defaming India on the global stage under the veil of equality, liberty and human rights.
