NEW DELHI: Protests led by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) and its founder – the former Aam Aadmi Party social media team member – Abhijit Dipke at Jantar Mantar and related sites in Delhi have intensified in recent days, centred on demands for the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over manufactured claims of irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
Add to that the Supreme Court’s ruling on October 5 that showed how democratic forces will prevail over dark, anarchist disruptive voices when SC refused to suspend CEC Gyanesh Kumar.
The demonstrations against CEC Gyanesh Kumar have been marked by clashes, mutual accusations of misconduct, circulating social-media claims of foreign funding, and broader allegations of organised networks behind anti-government agitation.
Recent Incidents of Alleged Violence
Social media posts, including one by @TheRudra1008 social media platform X (formerly Twitter) on October 5, claim that a middle-aged woman police constable was assaulted by a drunk and unruly crowd of CJP mostly male agitators during a protest.

The post asserts the crowd tried to disrobe her, nearly molested her, and pulled her by the hair, leaving her in tears as she attempted to straighten her uniform.
A video accompanying the post (credited to Pamphlet) shows chaotic scenes involving women constables, physical jostling, and tense interactions with protesters and a reporter.

The poster links this to earlier claims that Dipke’s team paid individuals with criminal records ₹2,000 each to infiltrate crowds, throw stones, provoke police action, and manufacture outrage.
Claims of Foreign Funding and Orchestrated Unrest
On October 4, the same account posted a video featuring an anonymous silhouetted speaker (with English, Arabic, and Russian subtitles) alleging that Dipke and CJP receive funding from Pakistan’s ISI to stage unrest.
The claimed funding route is described as originating in the USA, passing through ISIS, then ISI, Riyadh (where the video supposedly originated), criminal elements in Mumbai and Delhi, and finally into the protests.
It further claims ISI boosted CJP’s social media (noting rapid follower growth) and that paid criminals are used to provoke violence.
It is important to ment that the Legal Rights Observatory (LRO) had earlier in 2019 also complained to Pune Police against Dipke of the Aam Aadmi Party, accusing him of promoting Pakistan-linked narratives on Kashmircalling him Pakistan’s “ISI-paid asset.”
Broader Network Allegations
LRO, the same group behind the 2019 complaint, posted a flowchart on October 4 titled “FCRA Funding, Jantar Mantar Protests, IIT and Church Connection.”

It maps alleged links among:
- Advocate Colin Gonsalves and the Human Rights Law Network / Socio-Legal Information Centre (HRLN/SLIC), described as receiving German Catholic Church NGO (Misereor) funding.
- Harsh Mander’s Centre for Equity Studies (CES).
- Advocate Mihir Desai’s chambers.
- Legal defenses in Delhi riots, POCSO cases, Rohingya/Bangladeshi refugee matters, Anti-CAA protests (including claims of orphanage children being sent), Assam tea industry campaigns with Oxfam India, IIT Bombay protests, and a child-trafficking defense involving Pastor Yesudas.
LRO presents these as interconnections involving FCRA (Foreign Contribution Regulation Act) funding, Church money, and activities framed as part of “regime change” operations against the Modi government.
Context and Official Response
CJP, which gained rapid social-media traction as a satirical/protest platform, has organized sustained agitations since mid-2026, initially over NEET-related issues and more recently over electoral processes.
Several police personnel in the national capital had suffered grievous injuries while working on controlling the march of Dipke and CJP driven activists to the nation’s Parliament.
