Leaked CJP Meeting Video Reveals October 2 Protest Strategy and Legal Plans
Recordings of discussions involving CJP supporters ahead of the October 2 protests contain claims about a planned SIR boycott, media outreach, extensive legal support and coordination between the organisation’s West Bengal and Odisha units. In one discussion, Rakesh is heard saying there is “no need to worry” and claiming that the government would collapse within 30 days if action was taken against CJP members.
The conversations, involving Rakesh, Milan Nayak, Sarthak Tripathy, Mojibul Haque and Sushruta Das, also refer to alleged arrests in cases involving CJP supporters, a claimed network of 2,000 lawyers, and arrangements to provide travel, food and accommodation to members participating in protests across West Bengal and Odisha.
In one of the discussions between Rakesh, Milan Nayak, Sarthak Tripathy and Mojibul Haque, the participants discuss preparations for the October 2 protests.
Rakesh is heard saying there is “no need to worry” and that, if required, Hindi media channels and media agencies could be brought in.
During the conversation, he reportedly names Red Mic, Lallantop News and “Peek”, apparently referring to Peek Media, as possible media organisations that could be approached.

Rakesh also mentions Saurav and Abhijeet Dipke, saying they could be brought in to “help us out.”
The discussion therefore appears to cover not only protest mobilisation but also possible media outreach around the October 2 programme.
Another conversation is between Rakesh and Sushruta Das, in which the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls becomes a major issue.
Sushruta Das is heard saying: “A big thing that BJP Govt has done is they have removed names of Muslims from Voter list using SIR.”
Rakesh responds that there is no need to worry about the issue and says the matter would be taken up during the October 2 protests.
He is heard saying: “Do not worry about it, in Upcoming Oct 2 Protests that topic will be covered & SIR will be completely boycotted and Stopped/banned.”

The remarks show that SIR was being discussed as one of the issues around which the planned protests were expected to mobilise participants.
The allegation that Muslim names were being removed from electoral rolls through SIR is a claim made in the conversation.
Another portion of the discussions involves Rakesh, Milan Nayak and Sarthak Tripathy.
Milan Nayak is heard alleging that the government is targeting journalists who attempt to raise their voice against it.
Rakesh then refers to the organisation’s claimed legal strength and says, “We have 300-500 lawyers who are working in SC.”
He subsequently makes a strong claim about the consequences of any government action against CJP members.
Rakesh is heard saying that if the Government of India were to take action against anyone from CJP, the government would collapse within 30 days.

He reportedly says: “Govt of India if they touch any one from CJP then iam giving in writing, that Govt will collapse in 30 days just like what happened in Nepal, Srilanka & also in Bangladesh.”
He then tells participants that there is therefore no reason to worry or be scared because the entire CJP would come to their rescue if something happened.
The same discussion contains references to alleged cases involving people described as being connected to CJP supporters.
Rakesh is heard asking: “They touched Abdul’s father, right?”
The conversation then refers to the person allegedly being in jail.
He also mentions another individual in connection with Nishu Azad’s father, saying, “The one who touched Nishu Azad’s father… he beat him up, right?”
The discussion again refers to the person being in jail.
Rakesh then reportedly says that one of the individuals involved was, “very close to all the ministers.”
He further describes the person as, “like a brother and a son to the big BJP ministers.”

The discussion then returns to the person’s alleged imprisonment, “What happened? He is in Tihar jail now…”
Rakesh uses these examples to underline what he describes as the organisation’s strength, with the conversation ending with the exchange, “So that is the power.”
“Exactly. That is our power.”
Legal support for CJP workers is discussed in another purported conversation involving Rakesh, Mojibul Haque and Milan Nayak.
Mojibul Haque, also referred to as Banti, and Milan Nayak reportedly ask Rakesh about legal support for the CJP Odisha unit.
Rakesh claims that he is connected to a CJP lawyer team consisting of around 2,000 lawyers operating across India.
He reportedly tells the participants that if the Government of India or the Odisha government registers cases against CJP workers, it would not be difficult for the organisation to have those FIRs challenged or quashed.
According to the discussion, the legal team would be prepared to take such matters to the Supreme Court.
Rakesh reportedly tells the CJP cadres that they should not be afraid of cases, regardless of what happens, because legal support would be provided to them.
The recordings also contain discussion about coordination between the CJP West Bengal and CJP Odisha units.
In a conversation involving Rakesh, Milan Nayak and Sarthak Tripathy, the participants discuss an online training session planned between the two state units.
The discussion says that a training session between CJP West Bengal and CJP Odisha would be held on Sunday, September 27, 2026, to prepare members for protests in West Bengal and Odisha.

According to the discussion, Abdul, who runs the social media cell of CJP West Bengal, and Prakruti, described as a professor at a university, would train members of the Odisha unit.
The training was reportedly intended to help coordinate protest-related activities between the two state units.
The purported conversation also discusses financial and logistical support for members travelling between the two states.
According to the discussion, the CJP West Bengal unit told CJP Odisha workers that if they wanted to participate in protests in West Bengal, their: travel expenses, food, and accommodation would be taken care of by the West Bengal unit.
The arrangement was reportedly intended to work both ways.
The discussion says that when protests are held in Odisha, the CJP Odisha unit would take care of CJP West Bengal workers who travel there.
The participants describe this arrangement as a form of “Synergy cooperation.”

The discussion between Rakesh, Milan Nayak and Sarthak Tripathy also reportedly includes plans for a larger protest programme in Odisha.
According to the purported conversation, a meeting was scheduled to discuss the plan for a “Big Protest in Odisha.”
The September 27 meeting was therefore not limited to training, with participants also expected to discuss the organisation’s future protest programme in the state.
Media mobilisation is another element that appears in the purported discussions.
Rakesh reportedly says that if necessary, Hindi media channels and media agencies could be brought into the October 2 protest-related activities.
