Teachers are indispensable to society. They can transform nations, build   blissful citizens and amplify economy from a classroom. Future development of a nation truly lies in the hands of good teachers as they serve as the backbone to enable the children to be future leaders of the country. Besides parents, it is a teacher who like an artist handles tender and growing children with a heart and mind and changes an unshaped stone into a beautiful statue by providing right education to the child.

The old traditional models of educational instructions have undergone tremendous changes. Role of a teacher is not now restricted inside the four walls of the classroom for sharing  instructions and curriculum knowledge only  rather their responsibilities span a  wide range of areas and   they work as mentor, facilitator, motivator, role model, counsellor, transmitting  culture which further helps in inculcating unique qualities like fellow feelings, compassion ,grooming character, communication skills , life skills, health and wellbeing  leading to holistic development of students.

Teachers never collide with the same type of students everywhere or every time rather they deal with a high range of diverse personality traits. Teachers work as social engineers to socialise young people by using their skills to enable the youth to achieve something great and inspire them become a better version of themselves to serve society and the nation with a positive attitude.

In the present scenario technology has provided numerous platforms for learning and has also transformed the process of education but still a teacher has the power to change the life of the students and ignite the spark of learning that can generate human interaction and improve emotional quotient. The entire education system seems to be reorienting to cope up the global challenges in the field of education. Teachers are re-Inventing themselves and their occupation for professional development to better serve the schools, students and society as well.

Now the fundamental job of a teacher is no longer to distribute or provide knowledge about facts and figures but to assist the children learn how to use their ability to think logically by developing their abilities to think logically ,critically ,creatively that  ultimately  improves students ‘ s productivity. All teachers by investing  passionate and  earnest endeavours with the aim of reinforcing excellence and  virtues to the lives of children are fulfilling their commitments & responsibilities and glorifying their profession after all teaching is a profession that creates all other professions and trades.
