NTA to release UGC NET answer key and result this week
NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced that the UGC NET 2026 final answer key and result will be available this week for candidates who appeared for the examination across 84 subjects. Candidates can check their UGC NET result 2026 and UGC NET final answer key on the official NTA website once they are released. Along with UGC-NET 2026, NTA is also scheduled to release the final answer keys and results for CSIR-NET 2026, ICAR AIEEA (PG) 2026 and AICE (PhD) 2026.
The NTA final answer key 2026 will contain the answers finalised after considering objections raised against the provisional key, while the results will provide candidates with their final scores and qualifying status.
NTA is expected to release the following updates this week:
Candidates will be able to check their UGC NET result and final answer key through the official NTA website i.e., ugcnet.nta.nic.in. They should keep their application number, date of birth and other login details ready.
The final answer key is important because it contains the answers accepted by NTA after reviewing the objections submitted against the provisional key. Candidates can use it to understand how their final score has been calculated.
However, the final answer key should not be confused with the provisional answer key. The provisional key allows candidates to raise objections, while the final key is issued after the objection process is considered.
The UGC NET 2026 re-examination for English, Commerce and Sociology (3 subjects) is scheduled to be held on September 9 and 10. Candidates who are required to appear for these fresh examinations will be able to participate without paying any additional examination fee. The UGC NET result 2026 and final answer key will be released separately as per the NTA schedule. Candidates appearing for the re-exam should follow the official NTA instructions for further updates.
Candidates should be careful about unverified UGC-NET 2026 result dates and links shared on social media or other platforms. For the latest updates on UGC-NET, CSIR-NET and ICAR results 2026, candidates should check the official NTA website and avoid relying on information from unofficial sources.
