New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has taken action against M/s Eduquity Career Technologies Pvt. Ltd. following lapses reported during the conduct of the AIAPGET 2026 examination at an exam centre in Jaipur on August 22. The NTA has issued a show-cause notice to the agency, seeking an explanation for the reported lapses during the examination. This show-cause action comes after the NTA had already announced an AIAPGET re-examination for 49 candidates who were unable to complete the AIAPGET 2026 exam because of a power failure at the Jaipur centre.
Eduquity empanelment suspended
According to the NTA, the empanelment of M/s Eduquity Career Technologies Pvt. Ltd. has been suspended with immediate effect. The suspension will continue until the show-cause notice is resolved. During this period, Eduquity will not work as an NTA-empanelled agency.
What happened at the Jaipur centre?
The power supply at the Jaipur examination centre failed at around 10:20 AM. According to the NTA, 192 candidates appeared at the Jaipur centre, of whom 49 candidates could not complete the examination because of the power failure. A generator was switched on subsequently, and additional time was provided to the candidates. However, some candidates claimed that students discussed the question paper during the power outage. They said that giving extra time after the power was restored did not fully solve the issue, as the alleged discussion could raise questions about the fairness of the AIAPGET 2026 examination.
