LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath urged students to lead disciplined lives and always keep the nation first. Addressing students at Rajju Bhaiya Sainik Vidya Mandir in Bulandshahr, he said self-discipline and dedication are the keys to both personal success and national progress. Sharing his experience from a recent visit to Japan, the Chief Minister said Japan had rebuilt itself through discipline and hard work despite suffering massive destruction during the atomic bombings of 1945. He said that although Japan faced severe devastation after World War II, it emerged as one of the world’s leading economies because of the discipline and commitment of its people. He added that India has also made significant progress in recent years and stressed that self-discipline is essential for the development of any nation.

CM Yogi encouraged the students to learn values such as discipline, honesty and dedication during their education. According to him, these qualities would help them become responsible citizens and contribute to the country’s growth. Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Panch Pran’, the CM Yogi said soldiers are the best example of putting the nation before personal interests. “For a soldier, the nation comes first, family comes second and personal interest comes last,” he said.

CM Yogi praised the armed forces for safeguarding the country’s borders under extreme weather conditions, from the freezing heights of Kargil to the scorching deserts of Rajasthan. He said their sacrifices ensure the safety and security of every Indian.

The Chief Minister congratulated Vidya Bharati Akhil Bharatiya Shikshan Sansthan for establishing the Sainik Vidya Mandir in Bulandshahr, a district which is known for producing a large number of soldiers and military officers. He said such schools not only teach discipline and values but also help students become future officers in the armed forces.

Highlighting the Uttar Pradesh government’s efforts to expand military education, CM Yogi said UP was the first in India to allow girls to study in a government-run Sainik School. He added that girls will also be admitted to Rajju Bhaiya Sainik Vidya Mandir in the future. The state government will also build a girls’ hostel on the campus in the name of Rajju Bhaiya’s mother.

Baba Rajpal Singh, who donated 32 bighas of land for the school, was honoured during the event. CM Yogi said the donation was a valuable contribution to the nation. He also paid tribute to late Rajju Bhaiya and described him as an inspiring leader who devoted his life to education, Indian values and nation-building. He said the new school will help students become future officers in the armed forces and encourage them to develop discipline, leadership skills and a strong sense of service towards the nation.
