A disturbing case involving allegations of sexual assault, blackmail, and coercion has come to light from Bihar’s Kaimur district. Police have arrested a married couple, identified as Ikram Ansari and his wife Shahida Begum, following a complaint by a Hindu woman who alleged that she was drugged, sexually assaulted, and subsequently blackmailed using a video recording of the incident.

The case was reported from the Ramgarh police station area of Kaimur district. Acting on the victim’s complaint, police registered a case and took both accused into custody.

According to the complaint filed by the victim, the incident took place on June 4.

The woman alleged that the accused offered her a cold drink that had been mixed with an intoxicating substance. After consuming the beverage, she reportedly lost consciousness.

The victim has alleged that while she was in an unconscious state, Ikram Ansari sexually assaulted her.

The complaint further alleges that while the assault was taking place, Shahida Begum, the wife of the main accused, recorded videos of the incident.

According to the victim, the recording was later used as a tool to threaten and intimidate her.

Police are investigating the allegation and examining whether digital evidence supporting the claim exists.

The victim has alleged that after the incident, the accused couple threatened to make the video public if she did not comply with their demands.

According to her statement, the video was allegedly used to exert pressure on her and silence her from approaching the authorities.

She further claimed that the accused attempted to exploit her vulnerability by repeatedly threatening to circulate the recording.

One of the most serious allegations in the complaint is that Ikram Ansari allegedly sought to use the video as leverage to compel the victim into marriage.

According to the woman, the accused attempted to pressure her into accepting a marital relationship after the assault by threatening to release the purported recording.

Investigators are now examining all aspects of the allegations, including the claim that the victim was subjected to coercion and intimidation after the incident.

Unable to withstand the alleged threats, the woman eventually informed her family members about the incident.

Following discussions with her family, a formal complaint was lodged with the police.

Based on the complaint, law enforcement authorities initiated an investigation and arrested both Ikram Ansari and Shahida Begum.

Police officials have stated that the investigation is ongoing and that forensic experts have been brought in to assist in examining the evidence.

Authorities are expected to analyse mobile phones, digital devices, and any video recordings that may be relevant to the case. Statements from the victim, the accused, and potential witnesses are also being recorded as part of the investigation.

Officials have not disclosed further details at this stage, citing the ongoing nature of the probe.

The arrests of Ikram Ansari and Shahida Begum have drawn attention to the alleged use of digital blackmail and coercion in crimes involving sexual exploitation.

Police have assured that all allegations raised in the complaint will be thoroughly investigated and that appropriate legal action will be taken based on the findings of the probe.
