A shocking case of sexual exploitation, identity fraud and blackmail has surfaced from Indore, where police have arrested Sohail Khan following serious allegations made by a young woman.

According to the victim’s complaint, the accused approached her through Instagram, where he introduced himself with a fake name, “Lucky,” and gradually built a relationship with her.

Investigators revealed that the accused first met the victim at 56 Dukan, a popular public spot in the city. During their interactions, he allegedly promised to help her secure a job, gaining her trust over time.

Later, under the pretext of helping her professionally, he took her to a rented accommodation in Tilak Nagar.

The victim has alleged that she was given an intoxicating substance, after which she lost consciousness. She claims that the accused raped her while she was unconscious and recorded explicit videos on his phone.

When she regained consciousness, she was unaware of the assault until the accused allegedly began threatening her with the recorded footage.

According to the complaint, Sohail Khan used the videos to blackmail the victim, warning her that he would make them viral if she did not comply. Under fear and coercion, she alleges that she was repeatedly sexually exploited.

The victim also stated that the accused lured her with false promises of marriage, further tightening his control over her.

In her statement, the victim claimed that in March 2024, the accused took her to Ajmer Sharif Dargah, where she was allegedly forced to wear a burqa and pressured to recite religious verses. She alleged that refusal led to harassment.

She further claimed that after each assault, the accused would tell her, “You are now paak,” a statement that has become a central and disturbing element of her testimony.

The complaint also includes allegations that the accused took her to a man known as “Naushad Baba” in the Chandan Nagar area, where she claims she was subjected to unusual rituals. Police have stated that these claims are being examined as part of the ongoing investigation.

Police officials confirmed that the victim had been in contact with the accused for nearly three years. Based on her complaint, a case has been registered under charges including rape, criminal intimidation and other relevant sections.

The accused has been arrested, and authorities are now examining digital evidence, including mobile data and alleged videos. Officials are also probing whether others were involved in the case.

A senior officer stated that the investigation is ongoing and further action will depend on forensic and technical findings.
