Congress taking help from Pakistani to defame me and influence election: Himanta Sarma hits back at Pawan Khera

GUWAHATI: Congress leader Pawan Khera and Gaurav Gogoi took direct help from a Pakistani group to defame Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and his wife, Riniki Bhuya Sharma. At a press conference, CM Sarma said that Congress showed a UAE passport in the name of Riniki Bhuyan Sharma, whereas the UAE only issues long-term or golden visas to non-Emirati citizens.

The Egyptian passport shown by Congress leader Pawan Khera is also that of a person named Ashraf Abdelkader Abelsamad Hussain. All the data are taken from two Pakistani social media groups, ‘Pakistani in Ajman’ and ‘Tipu Sultan’.

In the press meet, CM also showed the registration of a fake company in the US in the name of Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi and his wife, Elizabeth. CM said,”This is how Cong made a fake Wyoming LLC for $199 (in fact they created one after their PC). We also made an LLC in Wyoming called GauravElizabeth786.”

CM Sarma’s wife, Riniki Bhuyan Sharma, lodged an FIR against Pawan Khera and the company against the fabricated fake allegation. CM Sarma said that the most dangerous thing is the involvement of Pakistani people in the entire episode. All the fake data and documents were drawn from a Pakistani social media group. Pakistani television channels have been doing talk shows for the last 10/15 days. Pakistan is trying to influence the result of the Assam election to help a particular person. He further said, “ Such dangerous fabricated misinformation ahead of election to influence the result is a criminal offence and the punishment for this is life imprisonment under BNS. Assam police will act according to law.”

CM Sarma also said that the whole episode is being managed by Pakistan, and taking help from an enemy nation to influence the result of Assam is a crime against the nation. Pawan Khera is taking help from Pakistan to influence the Assam election, which is a crime against the nation. “ Khera’s remaining life will be behind the bars in Assam”, CM Sarma said.

It should be noted that, out of desperation, the Congress party resorted to cheap politics by labelling corruption charges against Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma and his family, using AI-generated evidence. In a press meet held in Delhi on April 5, a Congress leader charged Assam CM Sarma and his wife, Riniki Bhuyan Sarma, with investing several thousand crores in the USA. Along with these charges, the Congress leader accused CM Sarma’s wife of having three passports of three different countries. Khera showed some photographs of these passports, which CM Sarma claims are AI-generated. In his X handle, CM Sarma wrote,”Today’s press conference by Pawan Khera reflects the deep frustration and panic within the Congress party. As Assam moves decisively towards a historic mandate, such desperate and baseless attacks only expose their sinking ground.”

Denouncing the allegation labelled by Pawan Khera, CM Sarma said, I categorically reject every allegation made by him. These are malicious, fabricated, and politically motivated lies aimed at misleading the people of Assam.

Busting Congress’s propaganda and exposing their serious discrepancies CM Sarma said, The documents being circulated by the Congress leader show multiple glaring inconsistencies, suggesting a crude and poorly executed attempt at digital manipulation: Firstly,

Surname mismatch — “SARMA” used instead of the official “SHARMA” in the documents shown by Khera. Moreover, the Photograph appears to be a publicly available image, not a standard biometric capture in the passports shown by the Congress party. Interestingly, the UAE ID shown in the passports have many anomalies. ID sequence inconsistent with expected year-of-birth pattern and Nationality mismatch — listed as Egypt, while MRZ reflects a different country code. Antigua & Barbuda passport expiry date mismatch between the printed field and the MRZ. Similarly, the Egyptian passport number mismatch between the printed field and the MRZ, and there are spelling errors (“Egyptiann”) and an incorrect Arabic reference. The title deed QR code appears invalid and does not resolve to any authentic record in the documents shown by Pawan Khera. CM Sarma said that these inconsistencies strongly indicate possible fabrication or digital manipulation. Truth will prevail. Those spreading misinformation will be held accountable.

I am confident that Pawan Khera’s campaign of falsehood is nearing its end. Eventually, Mr Khera will go to jail, CM Sarma added.
