Hyderabad: Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy launched a sharp attack on Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, accusing him of misleading the public over the implementation of the Congress party’s six guarantees.
Addressing the media at the BJP State Office in Hyderabad, Kishan Reddy said that Revanth Reddy’s claim during his Kerala election campaign—that all six guarantees had been implemented in Telangana and that people could come and verify—was “completely false propaganda.” He asserted that none of the guarantees had been effectively executed and alleged that the Congress had made a habit of presenting unimplemented schemes as achievements.
Questioning the government’s performance, he asked whether the promised ₹2,500 monthly assistance to women had been delivered, whether pensions had been increased as assured, and whether financial support to Dalit families and BC communities had materialised. He pointed out that despite claims of allocating ₹1 lakh crore for BCs, even ₹20,000 crore had not been provided in any single year.

Calling it a “double deception,” Kishan Reddy said that failing to implement promises was one level of betrayal, but falsely claiming implementation was an even greater fraud on the people. He further questioned the status of other assurances, including gold support for married women, free electric scooters, 2 lakh jobs for youth, and unemployment allowance, asking where these promises had disappeared.
Turning to Kerala, he cautioned voters against trusting Congress, alleging that both the Congress and Left parties had a history of misleading the public and stalling development. He also remarked that Revanth Reddy’s statements held no credibility in Kerala and suggested that his visit was politically motivated.
Drawing parallels with former Chief Minister KCR, Kishan Reddy alleged that the current leadership was following a similar path of making promises without delivery. He warned that promoting a narrative of “assume it has been implemented” despite ground realities was a dangerous trend in governance.
BJP Telangana Vice President and former MP B. Narsaiah Goud launched a sharp attack on the Congress government, alleging that it has pushed the state into massive debt within a short span. He stated that the government had accumulated ₹3.47 lakh crore in just 28 months, comparing it to the ₹6 lakh crore debt incurred over the previous nine years, and remarked that the present regime had set a record by borrowing heavily in just two and a half years.
Despite this, he said, there was not a single new welfare scheme or project for the people, and even existing schemes were being weakened. Citing CAG and RBI reports, he claimed that in the 2025–26 financial year, the government functioned on borrowings for 363 out of 365 days, with only two days without debt. He further alleged that over ₹1.3 lakh crore was borrowed in a single year through mechanisms such as Ways and Means Advances, Overdrafts, and Special Drawing Facility. Terming it a “daily wage government,” he criticised the administration as one that survives on borrowing every single day.
