Hanuman Jayanti celebrations in Bhagyanagar were held in massive scale on April 2, with the city witnessing the grand ‘Sri Veera Hanuman Vijay Yatra’. Streets across the Hyderabad echoed with slogans of “Jai Shri Ram” and “Jai Hanuman”, while saffron flags fluttered amid the massive participation of lakhs of devotees.

The main procession commenced at 11:30 AM from the historic Sri Rama Mandir in Gowliguda after special pujas and proceeded towards the Veeranjaneya Swamy temple at Tadbund, where it concluded at night. Covering approximately 12.5 to 13 kilometres, the yatra passed through Putlibowli, Koti, Sultan Bazaar, Narayanguda, Chikkadpally, RTC Cross Roads, Musheerabad, Bible House, and other key areas before reaching Secunderabad.

The Sree Hanuman Vijayotsava procession from Karmanghat Hanuman Temple also commenced from Karmanghat and merged with the main procession at Koti. A sub-yatra from Karmanghat passed through Champapet, IS Sadan, Saidabad, and Malakpet, covering about 10.8 kilometres before joining the main rally.

Hyderabad CP Shri V.C. Sajjanar, IPS, visited the Sri Rama Mandir in Gowliguda. He offered special pujas to the Swamy and formally flagged off the yatra.

A two-wheeler rally was also taken out via Koti, Sultan Bazaar, Kachiguda, Narayanguda, Chikkadpally, Ashok Nagar, Tank Bund, Bata, and Paradise, concluding at Tadbund Hanuman temple.

Voluntary organisations and devotees provided panakam (Sweet), buttermilk, and served prasadam along the route. Large statues of Hanuman in various forms captivated the devotees.

Hyderabad Police Continuously Monitored Yatra

During the initial phase, reportedly some communal elements attempted to disrupt the Veera Hanuman Vijaya Yatra that started from Karmanghat yesterday at two locations (they hatched conspiracies to incite disturbances in two places). However, alert Police and Bajrang Dal karyakartas thwarted these attempts and ensured the shobhayatra continued successfully.

Traffic diversions and temporary halts were implemented across key routes from morning till night to facilitate the smooth movement of the procession and minimise inconvenience to the public.

Special parking arrangements were made near Tadbund Hanuman temple at Dhobighat, Hanumanth Reddy Complex (Tadbund X Roads), and open spaces near Imperial Gardens in Karkhana.

Speaking to media , Dr.Ravinuthala Shashidhar, VHP national spokesperson, said, “With the spirit that for the nation, for dharma, and for the protection of culture, the Hindu society has come together as one. For the protection of this nation’s culture, raising the slogans “Vande Mataram” and “Bharat Mata ki Jai”, a grand and divine shobha yatra is being taken out from the Karmanghat temple.”

The procession, which reached Tadbund late at night, was accorded a grand welcome by the temple committee. Special harathis were offered to the Swamy, marking the successful conclusion of the celebrations. The yatra, marked by devotion and discipline, filled the city with spiritual fervour. Nearly 1 lakh bikes have joined the yatra in the city.

Thanks to , @CPHydCity, @MalkajgiriCop @CPMalkajgiri , @GHMCOnline and other govt departments for the incredible support and coordination during the Bhagyanagar Veera Hanuman Vijay Yatra! 🙏🚩 Your efforts ensured a smooth, safe, and successful procession.

Kudos to the local…
